i wanted to render this but i straight up do not have time this week which is brutal. pardon the small colouring mistakes around nzn's neck & thighs. very embarrassing for me. but the carmilla & nosferatu quotes are good, at least (<< the 1 part of this she didn't do)

i don't think it's a very awe-inspiring or particularly creative au; i'm drawing on a lot of tropes. however, they apply very seamlessly to shnz's existing dynamics and associated relationship forms, so little change *needs* to be made. the clothes aren't period accurate either!

i enjoy shnz in conversation with gothic aesthetics a lot--the repression of the vampire, sexual and romantic, the idealization of immortality, the anxiety of being conquered and dominated and losing oneself, the difficulty to maintain humanity and dignity when blood sucking. fun
