You work your whole life, pay the house off in full and the government still demands their cut every year or they take it.
That’s not ownership.
That’s a lifetime lease from the state. Property taxes are extortion.
Abolish them.

You never actually own your home in America. You rent it from the government.
My parents paid off their house. It's theirs. They still have to pay the state every single year until they die, or the state can take it.
Here's my take. Nobody pays tax on a car every year just for owning it, and nobody pays tax on clothes every year for keeping them in the closet.
Pay once when you buy the house, and then leave people alone.

NOW IS THE TIME! We are $40 trillion in debt and there is no way out with our current system where the federal government borrows trillions and gives it to the states. One entity cannot police fifty as we have seen . President Trump must return us to our original funding through tariffs and force the states to pay for the care of its citizens. This means no federal taxes no IRS at all on individuals or corporations. The states will need to care for their citizens by paying for SNAP, unemployment, and ALL welfare programs. The states will have to raise taxes, but they will have to be on a budget or people will leave for more responsible state. Rip off the bandage and give Americans back their freedom from the oppressive federal taxation. The states are closer to the taxpayer and thus will be more accountable.

They knew certain things like making a career out of being in Congress & eventually becoming a nursing home, 🙄 would ruin our country.
