BREAKING: Albanese has been plotting against Helen Haines for the last five weeks because she criticised a $6 million grant to Albaneseās Marrickville Golf Club as āpork-barrelling by designā
Since then, Albanese has been on the attack. The day after her comments his staff gave a dirt sheet on Haines to journalists with a list of requests including:
-A list of Hainesā advocacy for projects in Indi of $1.8 billion then raising questions about the value for money and due diligence of those projects
***Asking journalists to check for personal or professional connections, donations, or undeclared benefits that might create conflicts*** framed as potential avenues to examine, not proven allegationsā¦
Specific examples given included:
-Whether Haines had received undeclared wine or food from local businesses, held business interests, received political donations, or had personal associations with businesses that could benefit from tourism funding?
-For an $8 million Benalla Art Gallery redevelopment request, Albanese asked whether Haines had visited, been a member, donated, or had any personal professional connection with employees or the board?
-For a local recreation centre upgrade Albanese asked if Haines had played or trained with local clubs, watched games, or received jerseys/equipment?
-Made reference to her, and her spouseās receipt of Mount Buller ski lift passes, alongside later requests for resort infrastructure funding
The document supplied no proof of undisclosed wrongdoing but Haines told the Daily Mail she had not seen it previously, and described the approach as āpretty desperateā
See how Albanese and Labor operate? See how the media play their part?

An anti-Israel activist and a radical environmentalist has been identified as the man accused of deliberately driving a Toyota LandCruiser into federal MP Helen Haines
Another case of leftist attacking people they disagree with. These people are dangerous. Albanese and his alarmist climate change rhetoric and anti-Israel hatred might have driven this person to commit this attack.
The tone changed in Albanese's voice this morning, when he was told who it was and their beliefs.
Last night he was grinning with glee, hoping it was a right-wing One Nation voter.
Labor is putrid.

Iād like the @abcnews to ask Albanese about his treatment of women. Particularly his treatment of Helen Haines in response to her raising questions about accusations of Albaneseās pork barreling
Isnāt Albaneseās own office releasing a dirt file and directing journalists to attack Helen Hainesā integrity - inciting discourse thatās designed to turn UP the temperature?
This has nothing to do with social media, and Labor know it. It has everything to do with constituents who are unhappy with a government, and the media gaslighting them. People are sick of politicians poor behaviour towards one another, and towards the public
And there it is, as predicted, @AlboMP shamelessly exploiting the attack on Helen Haines to pimp his so called ādigital duty of careā censorship legislation. The nuance here by the way is that youāre a lying invertebrate scumbag who has single handedly poisoned the Australian body politic and yes Iād happily say that to your face you weasel.

Wat we weten:

āThe then-minister's decision was based on the blue-banded bee Dreaming story shared by Wiradjuri elders.ā
This is completely incorrect. The Wiradjuri elders have dismissed the āBlue Banded Bee Dreamingā, since neither oral nor written existence of it occurs in local tribal lore, prior to the commission of a town wall mural ā the first known reference to a blue-banded bee.
It is the Wiradyuri (note the different spelling) that have pushed the blue-banded bee dreaming ā a breakaway group initially of three people and whose corporation was registered only in recent times. They are completely at odds with the Wiradjuri elders and the 30,000+ people who identify as Wiradjuri. The Wiradjuri have never attempted to block the mine or its tailings dam. @abcnews

The federal government plans to revoke a $308,000 grant awarded to an Islamic media group after it published online content claiming several antisemitic attacks in Sydney were 'all a sham'.
The Department of Home Affairs had initially awarded Western Sydney-based OnePath Network a taxpayer-funded grant through the Multicultural Media Transformation and Sustainability Program in April.
The funding was intended to 'strengthen social cohesion while increasing tolerance and understanding between individuals and groups in Australia'.
YouTube videos posted online by OnePath containing vile claims have since resurfaced.
One video claimed several incidents, including the January 2025 firebombing of a Sydney Jewish childcare centre, were 'all fake', The Daily Telegraph reported.
Multicultural Affairs Minister Anne Aly told question time in parliament on Wednesday that the Department of Home Affairs had issued OnePath with a 'notice of intention to terminate' and was 'in the process of revoking the grant'.
She has also asked the department to advance incoming tools to scan public statements of those who apply to prevent issues in the future.
One of the videos posted to YouTube by OnePath Network featured Islamic scholar Dr Ovamir Anjum claiming that Zionists were enemies of Islam.
'We have serious enemies. Mortal enemies, whether we like it or not,' he said.
'Zionists are, Jewish supremacists as some other scholars call them, are mortal enemies of Islam.'
A third video called 'The Staged Anti-Semitic Attacks that Shook Australia' uploaded in May 2025 described antisemitic incidents, including the firebombing incident, along with the swastikas on cars and graffiti targeting synagogues as 'fake'.
'But amid it all, there was one glaring problem. It was all fake,' presenter Kamal Saleh claimed.
'The Jewish child care centre firebombing, the swastikas on the cars, the graffiti on the synagogues, the explosive laden caravan, it was all a sham.'
The host then went on to compare Israel's military actions in Gaza to the Holocaust.
'Many would argue there's no moral difference between putting people in gas chambers and burning people alive inside tents,' Mr Saleh said.
'I don't know about you, but I kind of get Nazi vibes.'
A fourth video showed Taliban officials describing Australian soldiers as 'terrorists'.
Executive Council of Australian Jewry co-chief executive Alex Ryvchin called on the government to urgently review its grants to 'so-called independent media outlets'.
'Some relentlessly pump out conspiracy theories and materially contribute to disharmony and fear in our society,' he said.
'It is absolutely incomprehensible why the government is financing the work of some of these fringe outlets and then having to fund social cohesion repair programs caused by the very disinformation they're enabling in the first place.'
The revelations have put fresh scrutiny on the decision to award the funding.
Earlier, a Home Affairs spokesman told The Daily Telegraph that it had 'formally engaged' with OnePath, raising concerns about 'its obligations under its agreement with the Commonwealth, and to give the organisation the opportunity to respond'.
The Daily Mail has contacted Minister for Home Affairs Tony Burke's office and OnePath for comment.

Coalition demands Anthony Albanese stand down Anika Wells after FOI records fail to substantiate meetings she cited to justify taxpayer-funded trip

Sarah Henderson has demanded Anthony Albanese stand down Communications Minister Anika Wells after freedom of information records failed to substantiate meetings she cited to justify a taxpayer-funded trip to Adelaide for a friendās 40th birthday.Ā
Ms Wells spent about $3,700 travelling to Adelaide between June 6 and June 8 last year, defending the trip on the basis that she had official engagements alongside attending the birthday party.Ā
#But records obtained by the opposition showed Don Farrellās office could not locate text messages, emails, diary entries or other documents confirming a meeting with his chief of staff.
Question to grok about the Victorian election.
Q: A coalition one nation coalition has high confidence for both houses
A: Yes ā on the current non-Roy Morgan numbers a CoalitionāOne Nation combination has high confidence of controlling both houses.
Lower house (88 seats, 45 majority)
Pollingforecast nowcast (incorporating recent RedBridge, Resolve, Freshwater and DemosAU polls):
⢠Coalition ~43 + One Nation ~13 = ~56
⢠Labor ~26 + Greens ~6 = ~32
Even in more cautious runs the right bloc is the largest grouping. Coalition alone is projected as the biggest party and is priced as the favourite to form government; adding One Nationās seats gives them a clear path to a working majority or stable minority. Markets (Sportsbet Coalition $1.40 / ~70%, Kalshi LiberalsāNationals ~71%) are consistent with this.
Upper house (40 seats)
Roy Morganās August projection remains the main published seat model:
⢠Coalition 11 + One Nation 10 = 21 (exact majority)
⢠Labor 9 + Greens 2 = 11, with 7 undecided
Combined with the stronger recent statewide primaries for the right, a CoalitionāOne Nation majority or effective control of the Legislative Council is the base case.
Caveats
⢠No formal preference deal or governing agreement is assumed yet. The numbers work if the parties can cooperate after the election; they do not require one beforehand.
⢠Models differ on the exact One Nation seat total (Pollingforecast ~13 in the lower house, Roy Morgan 11). Higher One Nation support would only strengthen the right bloc.
⢠Final preference flows and any late movement still matter, but the current data and markets both point the same way: the right combination is well placed for both chambers.
That is the highest-confidence reading available from the recent polls and models.
