DCF called me back. Just to ask more questions. They were very polite etc etc asked for the pictures I took so I sent them.
And these absolute MORONS texted back “thank you for the pictures, but this looks like food.”
MA’AM.
UPDATE:
I reported the house to DCF.
My great aunt did foster care for years and years, so I have a good idea how DCF works and what they do.
Do I like how they do everything? Not really. But nothing I’ve heard/seen firsthand about them is bad enough for me to say nothing to them.
There’s very very little probability that the children will be removed from the mother’s care. It’s not an abusive situation and the mother DOES have the space cleaned.
In fact, if I had to guess, I’d say very little if anything will come of this.
In this situation, I’m a complete stranger, I have no contact with the family, I don’t know the names of the children and there’s no adult in the house except for the mom.
Usually I’d just move on, you know, not my problem. But I’m trying to do better about that and in this case I think I did the right thing.
If it were just the trash everywhere and dirty dishes, or even the feces and just an adult I would’ve let it go.
But I just couldn’t get past the fact that children were living and sleeping in these conditions.
Anyway, I’m anonymous to the family, but I did give my info to DCF so if something comes of this that I can share, I’ll let you know.
Thanks to everyone who gave advice 💗
Once I made a list of all the characters I’ve ever had a crush on, alphabetical and with indications of importance.
Instead of drinking alcohol I just chug a strawberry vanilla Olipop. It’s hard to explain what I mean but the two are equivalent in my eyes.
Does everyone realize that getting caught up in each weeks discourse literally does nothing for you? And that in a few days there will be a new argument happening?
My auntie was the first to get this in our family. We thought it was the coolest thing ever lol. I distinctly remember us asking Siri if she wore pants and thinking it was the funniest thing ever.
