Iβve just been both in store and on the phone with support, who both said you only keep records for 6 months and thereβs nobody with any authority to do anything. Was that not true?
Cool - @TMobile stole my trade in phone, and because they apparently delete all records of support calls after 6 months it was the perfect scam for the support person to tell me βwait 3-4 bills to see that itβs fixedβ. Is this common carrier practice now?!

Weirdly and unexpectedly enough, so is Barbie. π€·ββοΈ

I know a number of people suffering from exactly that who were previously motivated and excited employees. Theyβve seen hits come close to them over and over again - PM on a sibling team, fully remote teammate, etc. Impossible to predict and scary!

Just continuing to trickle out layoffs consistently over months is certainly doing an efficient job of destroying morale and making everyone paranoid. What an incredible way to destroy trust that was built up over years of incremental improvements in culture.

The NY court has a hearing on June 14. If you are a Black Googler Level 3-7 who worked in NY from 2017 to 2022, and donβt opt out by July 5 or may be excluded from the case, Curley v. Google. Know your rights and options and decide. bencrump.com/google-discrimiβ¦

I dunno, looks plausible to me. If you want a reminder of what clothes were in then, watch some episodes of Buffy.

Just keeps happening. I worked on a team of rockstars a decade ago, who were all punished because we made some Partnerβs pet team look underperforming by comparison (because they were!)

No not yet! Dinner is weirder because of kid palettes. So sometimes we cook, sometimes the kids arenβt hungry and we just do light snacks, etc.

I order my lunch meals for the week from Shef. Cheaper than takeout but then I can just microwave an actual delicious meal I didnβt have to cook.

Met Gala as monitoring and observability solutions, a π§΅.
Kim Kardashian as Datadog.
Requires investment to get into. Takes active upkeep. Generally worth it, but there are gaps (and the occasional malfunction). Not an easy situation to get out of.
This was a great meet up with some awesome speakers!

My domain renewal saga is finally at an end. I spent 2.5 months, dozens of hours of calls between GoDaddy, Microsoft, and WildWestDomains and got nowhere - each insisted only the other could renew me. File an ICANN complaint though and mysteriously my domain was back in my hands!

She didnβt owe you her time and attention. Make a more compelling targeted pitch if this specific womanβs interest means so much to you that youβre still sore about it two years later.

We live only a half mile from school and two blocks from the bus stop, but thereβs no sidewalk on my streetβ¦ my kids have to walk on the somewhat busy road to get anywhere.

Holy crap I do! It was such bullshit. Hilarious to see it turned back on Google now.
