Since the beginning of January, I have worked with juniors at @JohnLLeFlore 🐍🧡💚 and @BlountLeopards 🐆💜💛 on ACT Writing. It is my hope that these students gained enough skills to be successful when they take the test on March 11! L #MCPSS #GrowingGreatness

Teachers are currently completing a differentiation activity titled “Reading Skills Conversation Hearts.” 10 skills were isolated for evidence collection and deeper discussions. They will share their findings and create exemplar responses using the TBEAR strategy.

Today, I thoroughly enjoyed working with the English teachers at @murphyhighschoolofficial! We had engaging discussions about best practices for preparing students for ACT Writing. Students are in good hands with these passionate teachers! They demonstrate #PantherPride! 💛💙

I spent the day with the @BlountLeopards to discuss the alignment of ACT English and ACT Reading skills to state standards. We also fellowshipped during a lunch catered by culinary arts students. I’m looking forward to greater success from this awesome school! 💜@principalwoods

After a week off because of snow ❄️, I returned to work to spend a couple of days at Calloway-Smith Middle School! While observing classes, I also got a chance to meet wonderful staff members and students. Made me smile. It was great seeing success in action. ♥️🖤

My focus is already on what I have lined up in 2025. My first school stop of the new year will be with the @MGM_Vikings to work with English and social studies teachers. I’m going back in time by using a longtime phrase that describes the Viking Voyage. 🖤🩵 #GrowingGreatness

Time has been spent this week at two of our area schools—Booker T. Washington Middle and @PanthersMurphy! Although Christmas Break is around the corner, teachers and students have been engaging in tasks displaying what they have been mastering throughout the quarter. 🐏 🐆❤️

We had a holly, jolly time together as we discussed all things “drama.” Teachers collaborated on chunking scenes, connecting songs, and examining quotes. I think they are now ready to successfully teach these rigorous works. 🎄👸🏽❤️ #GrowingGreatness #MCPSS
