🎉 We passed PROP A!  🎉 We just raised wages and brought up to 7 #PaidSickDays to over 500,000 (!!!) Missouri families, making sure all workers can care for themselves or a loved one when sick.

Incredible news. Missouri officially passes Amendment 3, codifying abortion rights into law. This is despite anti-trans attacks against the amendment, stating it would allow "sex change surgeries on young kids," a common Republican line against abortion rights amendments.

Bookmarking this to show people who think that Nikki Haley is the answer for returning the GOP to the party they once knew.

Haley: If I become president we will get out of the Human Rights Council. We would certainly not get back into the Paris Climate Agreement. We would get out of the World Health Organization. We would defund the UN as much as possible.

MO is one of just 4 states where the infant mortality rate > 2021-22. This is largely result of policy decisions by our pro-forced birth legislature— rural hospital closures, cuts to safety net services, and limiting access to repro healthcare. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Incredible news. Andy Beshear wins reelection in Kentucky. Just last month, Terry Schilling from the American Principles Project announced a plan to "create a wedge issue" out of trans kids in the state. They then spent $2,000,000 on anti-trans ads. Which failed. Again.

Missouri state rep(R) Keathley is a LIAR & terrible at math! @rockwoodschools was capped at 5%! Rockwood did NOT take advantage of the loophole in the Hancock Amendment. Prop 3 is a levy transfer which by definition nets to zero. That means ZERO new taxes. Vote YES on Prop 3🗳️
Rep. Ben Keathley
@benKeath7 Nov 2023
It’s a tax hike. Per MO Constitution, @rockwoodschools is required to reduce the tax rate due to the 18% assessment increase in 2023. By having us approve the rate, they get to bank the 18% gain from the assessments. You might support it, but you shouldn’t be misleading voters.

TOMORROW🗳️: #KCMO voters will decide whether to continue a 3/8-cents sales tax that funds 30% of the bus service — a lifeline for 1000s of working-class residents. Low-wage worker & @standup_kc leader Terrence Wise spoke to @jshmrchnt @kcbeacon to explain why this matters: (1/2) – at Kansas City, MO

Asexuality isn't protected under the Equality Act. We aren't protected by the conversion therapy ban, but we're 10% more likely to experience it. We're still pathologised. That's what @stonewalluk & I are working to change. Find out more in our report: stonewall.org.uk/about-us/ne…

CNN's Wolf Blitzer: You knew that there were innocent civilians in that refugee camp, right? IDF spox: This is the tragedy of war. We told them to move south. Blitzer: So you decided to drop the bomb anyway. IDF spox: We’re doing everything we can to minimize civilian deaths.
