Our latest work lead by @qusys Marie Curie Fellow: Sam Jacob. With @landi_qt2 and Felipe Barra. We demonstrate how fluctuation relations emerge and how the non-unital nature of the scattering channel allows for energy exchange bounds to be derived.

Nice talk by @ParticulateDave about quantum metrology at @tcddublin last week. I liked his motivation for doing science: "To do something that is slightly interesting and fun, and might be useful."

Ecstatic to have initiated this scholarship scheme between @tcddublin and @SandboxAQ. A deal done over pints of Guinness in the Stags head with the Sandbox crew in Feb. Looking for 2 talented students from the global south @quantumscitech
for 2 scholarships of $50,000 each
We are delighted to announce that @SandboxAQ will fund two Quantum Science and Technology MSc scholarships for under-represented students from the Global South, to commence in autumn 2024.

🏆 The Industry Engagement Award goes to Prof. John Goold & Prof. Stefano Sanvito!
They launched the Trinity Quantum Alliance in 2023, uniting industry giants like Microsoft and IBM. Their vision? A quantum network integrating research, education, and industry.
They've created a Quantum Science MSc and pre-doc program, fueling the quantum sector with skilled graduates. Collaboration with IBM resulted in a Nature publication.
The TQA is a game-changer for quantum research, HPC integration, and quantum science. Plus, it's creating jobs and boosting Irish research.
Congratulations, John and Stefano! 🌟
