IonQ's Q2 2026 revenue came in at $80.1M, up 287% year over year and about 20% ahead of the ~$66.5M analyst consensus. It lifted full-year guidance to $280–290M and closed the quarter with roughly $3.0B in cash, guidance that excludes its just-completed SkyWater acquisition.

Rigetti reported Q2 revenue of $5.1M, up 185% year over year and ahead of estimates, alongside a GAAP net loss of $52.6M. The balance sheet: $541.3M in cash and no debt. Shares fell after the report.

On a non-GAAP basis the loss was $16.0M, or $0.05 per share, in line with consensus. More: quantum-data.com/r/WzEsbnVsb…
D-Wave reported a two-qubit entangling gate for its superconducting dual-rail "erasure" qubits, published in Nature: ~99.9% fidelity in ~500 ns, with hardware-level error detection preserved. Simulations suggest up to 10x lower logical error rate per added level of correction.

Photonic-computing firm Xanadu, Q2 2026 update: $312.8M in cash at quarter-end and a $67.2M draw on its Yorkville at-the-market facility, which it says it'll tap only opportunistically. It also cited new records on core photonic components, including lower edge-coupling loss.

IQM Quantum Computers reported its first results as a public company (Nasdaq: IQMX): H1 revenue of €8.9M, an order backlog now above €102M, and its first US delivery — a system to Oak Ridge National Laboratory. It also initiated FY2026 revenue guidance of €42–47M.

A post-quantum signature scheme was just pulled from NIST's standardization track — after an AI-run cryptanalysis found a structural weakness its designers had missed. The scheme is HAWK. Here's what happened, and what it doesn't touch. 🧵
1
The finding came from Anthropic: its Claude model ran ~60 hours semi-autonomously with the SageMath algebra system, at about $100K in compute, to find it. Fixing HAWK would mean doubling its parameters — too large and slow to compete — so the team withdrew.
