It took more than a year of waiting, but I finally got my hands on the first 48 hours of responses to Andrew Bailey's trans tip line, accounting for more than 3,000 pages of records ... and yes, there was Bee movie. So. Much. Bee. Movie. stlpr.org/show/st-louis-on-t…

1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts? Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from. Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!

It’s out! Paper I wrote with @fishingwithzack and my advisors: Sy-Miin Chow and Peter Molenaar on how well subgrouping methods developed in the discrete-time framework perform when the data-generating process is continuous. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.… – at State College, PA

The tide is turning on anti-trans bills. They are resoundingly being seen as unconstitutional in courts. This map shows the fate of gender affirming care bans for trans youth. A month ago, this map was almost entirely red. Now, significant chunks of the USA have access again!

I was told not to tweet this until the houses adjourned for fear of jinxing it, but the Minnesota legislature just completed what is probably the most productive session anywhere in the country since probably the New Deal. Sweeping bills and reforms across every area of life.

A Missouri judge temporarily blocked a unique rule that would require adults and children to undergo more than a year of therapy and fulfill several other requirements before they could receive gender-affirming treatments. apnews.com/article/missouri-…

Amazing news. Kansas City may be attempting to buck its state level law and become a safe haven city for trans people. Would love to see more of this!

I very much trust this researcher to engage in ethical, compassionate, and quality research. They're a gem! I would trust my nearest and dearest to participate, which tbh I don't say about much research. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The least that the @nytimes could have done is reference that our has existed. But it is far too common that the work of trans journalists, not to mention a trans journalist org. is undervalued. Just ask anyone at @TransJA or @transscribe or @RaquelWillis_ .

dear cis ppl, I implore you to read this email & imagine that it's from your doctor explaining why they can no longer provide a medication you have long relied on. that's where many trans ppl are now...
“It’s a hell of a thing to wake up to.” @echozaurora just sent me this email from her doctor, who doesn’t have the resources to defend her license from the Missouri AG going after trans people. She’s in her 30s and has been on hormones for over a decade.

This is called a TRAP Law and it originated in the anti-abortion movement, just fyi. It’s all one struggle. Always has been.
Oh my god. Missouri AG just essentially banned gender affirming care for most trans adults via emergency rule. Requires 3 years of dysphoria, 18 months of therapy sessions, doesn't allow people with autism/depression. This is what elimination of transgender people looks like.
