Roblox introduced the Developer Exchange (DevEx) program 13 years ago.
DevEx is a monetized program that allows eligible creators to trade Robux, Roblox's digital currency, for real-world money. To cash out, developers originally needed to have Outrageous Builders Club, a verified email, and a PayPal account. Over the years, Roblox has eased the requirements, eventually not requiring any Roblox membership in 2022 and decreasing the minimum payout amount to 50,000 Robux, then to 30,000 Robux in 2023.
Initially, the rate was $285 per 100,000 Robux, but in 2017, Roblox increased the rate to $350 per 100,000 Robux. In 2025, Roblox increased the payout to $380. In 2026, Roblox then started paying developers $540 per 100,000 Robux earnt from age-verified 18+ users for eligible games.

Roblox has REMOVED Rent-A-Girlfriend from the brand IP Licensing catalog.
What a mess Roblox made. Proudly announced it at RDC. Now it's gone after a couple days, and rightfully so.
