Yes, Somali groups were exhibited in European ethnographic shows from about 1885 to 1930, often called human zoos today. Examples include around 80 people from Somaliland at the 1895 Crystal Palace exhibition in London and a Somali Village with dozens of participants at Bradford’s 1904 Great Exhibition. Carl Hagenbeck and Somali organizers like Hersi Egeh Gorseh ran many touring troupes.
