“We are bound personally to unjust social structures regardless of our social positions and whether we like it or not or chose to be or not.” We need moral imagination, moral courage, and bold maneuvers to address structural injustices - Gayle Restall #MurielDriver at #CAOT2024
I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Gayle Restall, #MurielDriver presenter at #CAOT2024, as one of my earliest mentors in my #OccupationalTherapy and research journey. #SocialJustice resonated with me from the beginning. This award is so well deserved!

Forced addictions treatment is a poor practice that unfortunately comes around again and again. People use small sample anecdotes to justify policy. Evidence-based practice on the other hand notes that treatment needs to be available but also needs to be a choice.
Enforcement does not work! What is also concerning is the lack of compassion in many of the comments following the original post. What has society come to? #homelessness #encampments #EnforcementWillNotWork

If in Lacombe-Ponoka you can compare a gay child to human feces and still win 72% of the vote, this is not a report card on the disposable politician, but rather on our society.
Alberta, we have some reflecting to do.

What a great presentation and reminder of #DoLiveWell. I use it in my practice and value the easy-access approach for anyone that this model offers clients.
