I am not a reporter, and have no idea the pressure of being on that side of the mic in realtime, but SVG drops “big team changes coming” and not a single follow up question to it from the three reporters in this bullpen.
Instead we got “does martinsville fit your driving style” “why did you qualify bad” and “do you like short tracks now”. I was on the edge of my seat to get that follow up question. Maybe next time

NASCAR's Mike Forde shared on Hauler Talk that the likely biggest reason Zane Smith was penalized for his actions at Phoenix was because of his and Hocevar's meeting with officials at Atlanta and the message shared there:
"If you guys can't figure it out, we will help you figure it out."
NASCAR officials felt that Smith, who can appeal his penalty, ignored that message.
Zane Smith still not mincing words on how he feels about Carson Hocevar. "I just don't like him as a human."
On his meeting with Hocevar and NASCAR officials today: "I think we both understand where we're at with everything. But certainly the meeting doesn't change how much he dislikes me and how much I dislike him."
On if it's over between him and Hocevar or not: "Sure, yeah. ... I'll judge off of him."
Asked Zane if he's received the wrath of Hocevar's fans yet for what he said about them: "I mean, some of the comments and memes have been funny for sure. But yeah, I mean, they're all proving me right."
