We first partnered with Rahul Shinghal and the @tazapay team in 2020 before the company was incorporated. Tazapay joined @_surgeahead with an ambitious mission to make cross-border payments simple.
Along the way, we have had the privilege of doubling down on that partnership by leading the company’s Series A in 2023 and co-leading the Series B in 2025.
Over the next six years, Tazapay built virtual accounts, payouts, stablecoins infra and cross border payments gateway - all in one unified stack - on top of a strong foundation of licenses and registrations across Singapore, the United States, Canada, Australia and Hong Kong.
Tazapay infrastructure now covers money movement rails in more than 100 markets. They are far along their original mission, and have expanded their goals that they will now work on together with Circle Group, Inc (NYSE: CRCL).
Huge congratulations to the Tazapay team as they begin this new chapter with Circle.
We’re grateful to have been alongside you on this journey!
@aakash_kpr
Circle has signed an agreement to acquire @tazapay, a cross-border payments company supporting businesses across 100+ markets.
Tazapay brings a payments-native team, 60+ banking and fintech partners, and meaningful stablecoin payment volume, with more than 60% of its volume running on stablecoins as of July 31, 2026.
Together, we’re working to expand stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure for businesses moving value globally.

Fragmentation (across model, cloud, hardware, harness) is emerging as a structural feature of this AI cycle -- Truefoundry enables, manages and accelerates this fragmentation.
Congrats @nikunjbjj and @truefoundry on an important release!

Today we're launching Intercept: a $500M philanthropic initiative to make respiratory infections, like the common cold and flu, a thing of the past.
We treat respiratory infections as a minor nuisance, but that’s really not the case. Most of us will spend 5% of our lives (!) sick from these viruses, they kill 1M people a year, cost $600B annually in productivity, and periodically threaten civilization through pandemics.
So, if they’re such a big problem, why haven’t we dealt with them yet? Last year we convened ~40 leading scientists, pharma R&D leaders, biotech investors, and regulatory experts to better understand that.
We heard two main reasons:
(1) First, it’s just technically very challenging: respiratory viruses represent hundreds of distinct, mutating strains across several families. Fortunately, recent breakthroughs make this newly possible.
(2) Second is a lack of funding: broad-spectrum solutions have historically been underfunded, in part because they’re not a great fit for most philanthropic or commercial funding (and while COVID generated a burst of activity around preventing and understanding respiratory infections through an influx of new funding, that hasn't been sustained).
We think that with enough focus and funding, this might be solvable. Intercept is a $500 million philanthropic initiative that will take advantage of new tools to catalyze the development and deployment of two types of products: broad-spectrum preventatives and air cleaning technologies.
This problem is undoubtedly difficult. But it’s more tractable now than it’s ever been. We think we should give it our best shot.
We’re enormously grateful to our anchor funders: @stripe, @AnthropicAI, @TheFluLab, @FoundationOAI and individuals from Jane Street.
And, I’m very excited to be building this with @incredutility and the rest of the team.
good vibes with the Tal team - we chatted about a bunch of things. check it out :)

Big day for all of us at Sarvam.
I want to start by thanking my team for shouldering this mission with immense belief, urgency, and care.
Reflecting on the last few years of the founding journey, my conviction has only deepened:
- AI will be far more consequential than most of us realize even today
- The value loops of this new world cannot be owned by a couple of companies
- Country of India scale cannot rent intelligence. We have to build it ourselves
We are going to push hard across every layer of the company, but the thing that excites me most right now is our shot at building frontier-class AI systems from India. We are assembling the team, the compute, and the deployment engine to make this happen.
I also want to thank our new investors. HCLTech’s partnership opens joint opportunities to bring our research and platform to many of HCLTech’s clients - this is also a unique template to bring together India’s strengths. BVP brings to the team the rare combination of being at the forefront of India's biggest tech shifts for the past two decades while globally having partnered with category defining enterprise AI companies.
Onwards
We're thrilled to announce that we have raised $234M in the first close of our $300M Series B at a $1.5B valuation.
@HCLTech and @BessemerVP have joined us in this round, alongside continued support from @khoslaventures and @peakxvpartners
For countries and companies, sovereign control on the AI stack is no longer an optionality. Sarvam will be the partner of choice for this aspiration. The capital allows us to accelerate our momentum towards this full stack of models, compute, and deployments.
A huge thank you to our customers, partners, investors, and the Sarvam team for your trust and belief in what we are building. We’re just getting started.

Today, Surge can invest $500K to $5M in seed funding to support founders building from zero to one.
We’ve also launched a new Surge website, with a fresh look and a clearer view of what Surge offers founders today. surge.peakxv.com/
🔼 More capital: $500K to $5M in seed funding
🌏 More global support: for founders building across domestic and international markets
🤝 More access: company-building immersion with leading global founders, operators and investors
Surge 12 launches later this year, and we’ll be hosting Open Houses across cities in the coming months. More soon!

Three years ago today, we rebranded as Peak XV (Peak Fifteen), the original name of Mount Everest. The name speaks directly to our ambition: to aim for the highest peak there is, and to partner deeply with world-class founders making the climb.
Over the last few years, we have continued to evolve, expanding our presence across regions, deepening our work in AI and deeptech, and partnering with founders building for global maxima.
Today, we are unveiling a refreshed brand identity and website that reflect this evolution while staying rooted in the values and beliefs that define us.
Our new logo and visual system are inspired by Everest and the climb itself: the rugged terrain, the essential tools, and the shared discipline, resilience, and belief required to reach the summit.
Explore our new look at peakxv.com and watch our latest brand film below.
We're as optimistic about the future as we've ever been.
Never settle in the foothills.

Stoked for this launch -- TAL is the most intelligent talent agent for India's most ambitious professionals.
This is one of the most compelling use cases of consumer AI. @OnTheGrapevine have put in a lot of love in this release.
Check it out!
cc @kriti_kg @RajanAnandan
We’ve raised $4.1M to let AI find the right job for everyone.
So today, we’re launching TAL.
3 years and 1M+ users on Grapevine taught us this:
The internet today works for companies.
Not for talent.
Job boards, applications, resumes, ats.
The system was built to help companies process people.
But people are not pipelines.
You are not a resume.
You are not an application.
You are not a candidate.
You are talent.
TAL is your talent agent.

Three New Funds for Exceptional Founders in India, APAC and beyond 🚀
We are pleased to announce the closing of $1.3 billion in new capital commitments across our India Seed, India Venture, and APAC funds.
Along with significant uninvested capital in our existing Growth fund, we are excited about our ability to back outlier founders building category defining companies, across multiple stages, as we have done for two decades.
We are immensely grateful for the steadfast commitment from our Limited Partners (LPs) for our inaugural Peak XV funds. Many of our LPs are leading non-profit endowments and foundations, and serving them adds a special meaning to our work.
We understand every fundraise is a responsibility to the founder ecosystem and to our LPs, and we are relentlessly committed to serving them.
This is the most exciting time we have witnessed in our lifetimes. AI is transforming the world at an unprecedented pace, and while the initial breakthroughs were concentrated in Silicon Valley, AI opportunities are now abundant in India and APAC. The size, scale and sophistication of technology startups is deeply inspiring across both India and APAC.
India’s FinTech ecosystem is already one of the most advanced in the world and the Consumer opportunity has decades of compounding ahead. The combination of technical innovation, deepening markets, quality of talent and increasing global ambition makes this an amazing time to be investing in the region.
For those special founders who have a vision to change how something works and who combine ambition with execution, hustle with resilience and who wish to serve the world ahead of themselves, we are here to partner with you. 🙌

fwiw, also SOTA in English. more to come next week.
I was wrong about Sarvam.
When I wrote about them a year ago, I felt like the direction to train small "indic" language models was wrong. But boy, have they turned it around. They have the best text-to-speech, speech-to text, and OCR models for Indic languages, and that's actually really valuable. The pricing is very reasonable. And the website is not only beautifully designed but dirt easy to use. They're filling a well needed gap in the ecosystem and doing things big labs will probably never focus on to the fullest extent (at least in the short term). I don't know anything about the business, but there's a lot to appreciate about what they've build technologically and I can't remember the last time I felt that way about software products coming out of India. Well done.

Crossed $6M by the time this came out but not complaining 😉 . 250%+ YoY growth, tracking $10M soon :).
Last year, right after our Pre-Series A fundraise, growth slowed and we had a flat year. A founder's worst nightmare.
We got back to the drawing board, re-evaluated both strategy and execution critically and resolved that we're going to build one of the fastest growing AI-SaaS companies in the country and globally.
There were 3 core areas we decided to bet on 👇

From 17 pivots → 2,000 user interviews during @ycombinator → Raising our $15M Series A for @HyperboundAI
I'm still processing it.
11 straight days of back-to-back investor calls.
And yet...there was a moment we almost didn't raise at all because we were profitable and cash-flow positive.
So why did we decide this was the right time?
⸻
It started back in Y Combinator Summer 2023.
Our group partners—@t_blom, @gustaf, @snowmaker, and @wcrosby—took a chance on us despite us having 17 different ideas and pivoting just 2 weeks before our interview!
3 minutes into the 9 minute interview, Tom stopped us:
"Do you have any other ideas?"
I was flustered. I threw out a half-baked idea. He just nodded: “ok.”
6 hours later, Gustaf called: "You're in."
That moment changed everything.
Fast forward ⏩ to today, we:
- Created a new category, redefining sales coaching & enablement for large enterprises with AI
- Went from 0 → 7-figures in revenue in 11 months, purely founder-led sales
- 4x'd revenue in 2025 alone (and we're not even done yet)
- 3x'd our team, scaling from 6 to 18 people in 8 months
- Power several Fortune 20 & Fortune 500 clients
- Closed multiple six-figure expansions
- Surpassed hundreds of thousands of AI roleplays
- Been used by reps from over 8,000 different companies
⸻
So why are $200B+ enterprise companies knocking on the door of a small San Francisco AI startup to solve their age-old problems?
It's the same reason why Atul and I built Hyperbound for ourselves in the early days—because *sales is hard*.
Why? Because communication is hard. And teaching it? Even harder.
At most enterprise companies, the top 20% of sellers drive 80% of revenue.
That means the gap between top-performing and average sales reps is tremendous.
👉🏽 Say you're a $1B revenue business, $800M comes from 20% of your reps.
👉🏽 Now imagine you can upskill even 5% more into elite sellers. That's an extra $50M+ in revenue—with zero new headcount.
It's not that enterprises didn't know this before. The math is simple. The problem was just impossible to solve.
⸻
There's a lot of talk about AI replacing sellers. Here's the truth:
Humans have been selling since the beginning of time. We're persuasive by nature. We convince, we negotiate, we trade.
And the reason why it works is because it's all about
1) Empathy — seeing the world through someone else's eyes
2) Emotion — tapping into what they care about
3) Trust — buyers don't just buy solutions, they buy confidence
That's why elite reps don't feel like they're selling. They're listening, connecting, & solving.
The future of sales isn't about adding headcount or replacing people with AI.
It's about scaling human excellence.
That's the bet we're making at Hyperbound.
Thank you @arnavsahu341 and @peakxvpartners for leading this round, as well as @ycombinator, @snowflake Ventures, @AlexFellowsFund, @RobleVentures, and all our other customers, advisors, and investors who believe in our mission 🚀
Let's get it 🎉
