Now I see why players always talking about "execution" when asked about shitty play design and playcalling that was dead from pre snap. The dumbest person in the room wants to do all the thinking.

Jalen is clearly following the coaches gameplan. Since he got burned in 2023 for going off script you better believe you won't be seeing that much from him anymore with this regime. Coaches using him as a point and shoot. It's pretty obvious.

Will Philly media ever start listening to the players?
We got to have some of the worst locker room reporters ever. Why would you ask him that? 😂😂😂😂

"A guy like Jalen, there's nothing you can't do." - Michael Vick on the offense he would run if he were coaching Jalen Hurts

BG talks about how Doug Pederson changed his entire playbook for Nick Foles when Carson Wentz got hurt. "Jalen don't always get that. People don't know that... That's where I feel they're hurting Jalen a little bit."

He wants Nick(#9) to be quiet "respectfully" of course. He keeps speaking on Jalen as if their experiences are the same 😭

All the times Hurts allegedly went “rogue” last year are turning out to be extremely valid and justified.

Jalen was asked if his lack of running was due to personal choice. "Never a personal choice. Never a personal choice...some things you have to be put in position to use."

Fire Nick Sirianni, make Vic Fangio interim head coach and bring Mannion down to the sidelines to run the offense.

Everyone said Jalen Hurts would be exposed without talent around him, but the truth is Nick Sirianni is being exposed without talent on the roster. Play calling and deigns are atrocious and Sirianni’s decision making is even worse

The 2021 Eagles were the 22nd ranked defense. Made the playoffs. The 2023 Eagles were the 30th ranked defense. Made the playoffs. The 2025 Eagles were 23rd in Yards Per Carry. Made the playoffs. In 2021, 2023 & 2025, he had different O-Coordinators each time. This narrative that Jalen Hurts has had perfect teams around him every step on his career is complete bullshit. When he HAS had great teams (2022, 2024) he was 1 quarter away from 2 Super Bowl rings. Hurts doesn't get nearly enough respect for his career.

The Eagles are not running Sean Mannion's offense. They incorporate Mannion's under center outside zone runs and PA passes with the shotgun passing concepts Hurts and Siranni have run for years. The end result is an offense that is predictable and lacks an identity. Thread

Updated thread on the alarming tendencies from the Eagles film v. the Rams. The most concerning? 71.4% of the time the Eagles were under center, they ran. 65% of the time the Eagles were in shotgun, they passed. Number of times they dropped back from under center to pass? 0

Been saying it all year. Those posting the Eagles pass block win rate & saying the OL isn't the problem are not understanding the issues with protection. It's a protection plan/scheme issue! – at Bexley, London
The Eagles will miss Lane Johnson of course, but they have a complete outlier of unblocked pressures right now. This is far worse than just not having starters...

Eagles HC Sirianni gave away play-calling duties his 1st season, & Philadelphia went to a Super Bowl a year later We all know the story: both times they went to the SB, they lost their OC the following season & struggled Is the issue his offense, or competent play-callers?

Great stuff by this tik tok user breaking down every Eagles 3rd down. Give it a watch to see what Hurts was dealing with if you have the time

Love Foles but why is he encouraging Jalen throw in situations THAT HE KNOWS PERSONALLY lead to turnovers?
Replying to @YYYYYu55
It's an issue with operation. Everyone wants Jalen to go rogue but when he does he takes all the blame..I'd rather him just take what's there and run or throw it away if not bc Jalen will take the blame if he forces and turns it over.

I charted every single 3rd down while getting through the film. I have the 1st 3rd down as Hurts' fault. About half of them are design faults. A couple of examples where a player didn't win (and the scheme didn't help). And a few pass protection issues, of course.

Nick Sirianni on the Eagles' issues against the blitz and who's making the calls at the line: "I don't think I need to answer who's making the calls. There's a process that we have for it, so I'm not really going to get into that. "...We didn't protect well enough in aspects with some guys, and it's something different. Just like on third downs, it's not just one thing. Just like the negative plays that put us behind the sticks aren't just one thing. It's the same thing with protections. Obviously, with that, there are coaching things that we have to do better as coaches. There are times when we're losing a matchup or a group of matchups, when there are three guys working against three guys, and then sometimes they get you on one. There are multiple different reasons for that. Again, same deal. We're working through those things, but it has to be better. There were good moments as well, but not nearly as consistent as we want it to be. That's every phase of what's happening on offense right now."
