I had a conversation with someone who was transphobic π³οΈββ§οΈπ₯Ί
They told me, βYou'll never be a real woman.β
I calmly replied, βYou don't have to understand me, but you should still respect me.β
They said they disagreed, and I answered, βYou're entitled to your opinion, but I'm entitled to live my life happily, too.β π
That day, I realized I don't need everyone's approval to be proud of who I am ! π
My dad said "Youβll always be a boy to me and never a girlβ
The table went silent.
My little cousin, slammed her fork down and said:
βNo. Sheβs my aunt. And sheβs prettyβ
That one sentence did more for my soul than years of therapy ...
