This Rihanna discourse is long overdue. Glad people are seeing what happened all these years ago.

I hate how black culture is treated as inherently humorous. Aave is turned into slang. Black cultural foods are considered ghetto. I wish our culture could exist outside of some veneer of comedy. I think we the most classiest people alive. Opulence.

i think this movie shows just how smart and quick witted she really is. sasuke would’ve been her with his sharingan, naruto with his clones, but sakura? sakura can utilize her environment- which means she’s super observant. love her so much.

White (and some poc) queer people immediately assuming black people “must have had a homophobic or transphobic past” in response to antiblackness always reads as if they’re trying to somehow trying to excuse racism and once again shows they don’t ever consider BLACK QUEER people.

+ rihanna had costumes made of her, skits mocking her abuse, and BET making fun of her, yet she never asked for as much sympathy as chris brown did, despite being the victim. it’s messed up how few celebrities had her back but were quick to minimize what happened to her.
