🚨BRITISH RECORD ALERT 🚨 Of course it was with a BR split like that…Women’s Medley Relay - 3:53.50 takes 0.51 off the old mark from the 2021 Euros

As if Angharad Evans just split 1:03.75 100 breaststroke…

Actual message exchange I had with @kafwrine after the heats. If you’d like next weeks lottery numbers please let me know

This is not a European Record - there isn’t one yet as European Aquatics set the baseline at 7:22.33 when they introduced this event - WA don’t sanction it but given how few meets it’s swum at, and the fact this is a Euros meet record, there’s a high chance it’s a world best

Great Britain complete the clean sweep of 4x2 European titles with gold in the mixed event. Splits McMillan 1:47.09 Richards 1:45.85 Colbert 1:55.23 🔥 Anderson 1:55.96 🔥

🚨BRITISH RECORD ALERT 🚨 GB mixed 4x200 freestyle relay 7:24.13 - cutting 2.5s off the old mark

🚨BRITISH RECORD ALERT 🚨 Keanna MacInnes 100 butterfly 57.25 equals the current record

James Guy - 1:44.87 - he’s done it! And European bronze as well

🚨BRITISH RECORD ALERT 🚨 for Lauren Cox who equalled her own mark with 27.15 in the 50 back

In fact although they tied for 16th, on 2PN the top two in this swim off will be back so Jack is also through

And who doesn’t love a three way swim off? Ollie Morgan gets the better of Jack Skerry and Ole Braunschweig to get the final semi spot

1:45.40 for James Guy in the 200 free heats - surely this is the meet he gets his 1:44…🤞🏻

Full marks to those who worked out this was Greg Butler in second…

Ed Mildred sneaks into the 100 fly final from 5th in his semi final - 51.44 for him gets him 8th spot

Lauren Cox 27.39 makes the 50 back final in 7th

World record! Sara Curtis 26.63 in the 50 back - that record has been on borrowed time for ages with so many women swimming close but Curtis gets it

This is an huge step forward for Angharad- producing her absolute best in the race where it matters - and having the mentality to bring it home when in the pack at halfway - fantastic to see

Filip Nowacki wins his 200 breaststroke semi final comfortably in 2:08.60 ahead of a lifetime best 2:09.37 in second - they are both guaranteed a spot in the final (at Europeans top 2 qualify of right regardless of time)

🚨BRITISH RECORD ALERT🚨Angharad Evans 1:04.87 100m breaststroke - and with that she has European Gold!
