Agree on many points but this one hits hard:
“Nobody cares about you. This is far more good than it is bad. Everyone is just vain and egotistical as hell.”
Taste is a discipline, not a gift.
Taste is developed through saying yes; style is forged through saying no.
Taste expands. Style constrains. Most people confuse accumulating references with developing discernment. I say the real work is building a lens... something that filters, focuses, and transforms.
“Taste isn’t born. It’s built.”@thecosmos by @9th
This is interesting timing as I am about to explore the idea of whether taste is something you are born with or something you can learn and develop over time.
Going to try this out and will report on my thoughts.
If you are a creator you must use AI. But you must not get trapped in becoming style aggregator.
Love how @ciguleva puts it in her article:
“AI is the amplifier. But what it amplifies is you.
If you don’t know who you are, it amplifies nothing. If you know exactly who you are, it amplifies everything.”
A must read for anyone creating using AI.
