5 years ago, the Biden administration used domestic terrorism tools against parents protesting school boards. PPT’s got the internal emails. Here's what really happened.

Biden’s censorship push was never just about COVID. Records we obtained through FOIA show former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s office planned to target all “health and medical misinformation” and “more broadly,” how social media impacts people. Even his own team admitted it could drag the office into a “social media/censorship war.” Great breakdown from @BenSmithDC at @RedState: redstate.com/ben-smith/2026/…

PPT filed civil rights complaints against the UNC System last year after identifying a pattern of the state universities secretly continuing to impose DEI. Staff at UNC at Asheville, Charlotte, and Wilmington, as well as Western Carolina University were caught on tape describing how they were being “sneaky,” “covert,” and “quiet” to get around DEI bans. The rest of the system deserves the same scrutiny to uncover the extent of the discrimination.

‼️ This is absolutely INSANE (but not surprising). Biden & team were using COVID as a dress rehearsal for a Mass social media censorship campaign.
New FOIA docs show Democrats' grand ambitions for censoring social media. COVID was just a warm up. When the Biden censorship apparatus was at its height in 2021, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy's "maximum pressure" team said that "may be worth emphasizing that you don’t just see this as a COVID-related issue." via @publicstrust

The “conspiracy theorists” are vindicated once again. They ran a full-scale censorship campaign to silence anyone who didn’t fall in line. Then they looked the public in the eye and claimed it gave people “more access” to information.
🚨 New docs obtained by PPT show the Biden administration wanted to expand its “misinformation” suppression campaign far beyond COVID. Former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s office pushed to target all “health and medical misinformation” and wanted to “more broadly … get[] at the issue of how social media impacts people.” If asked whether censorship of Big Tech was cancel culture, his prepared answer was, “No, it’s the opposite actually,” even claiming it would ensure people had “more access” to information. A memo to Murthy’s “Misinformation Tiger Team” proposed a “maximum pressure” campaign against technology companies, while acknowledging the effort could “politicize[] [the] office by further engaging in social media/censorship war.” They also took a victory lap over Twitter’s suspension of a member of Congress. Other documents reveal talking points the Surgeon General was given to address questions about vaccines and the spread of COVID: - Guidance for “tough Q&A” listed “Talking about vaccine safety concerns” and “Providing minute details on the specifics of the FDA approval process” as topics to avoid. - The memo said to lecture Americans who had not received the shot, “If you are unvaccinated, you present a problem to yourself, family, and those with whom you work,” and also assert that “vaccine requirements will stop the spread of variants.” - States were told to “get out of the way” if they wouldn’t require masking in schools and parents were instructed to “have your kids wear masks.” Meanwhile, an internal email acknowledged that team members had been “unilaterally focused on misinformation” for two to four weeks and needed to “walk and chew gum” to “drive some additional priorities,” suggesting concern that other responsibilities were being sidelined. The reasons for the massive decline of public trust in health officials are reflected in these documents.

New documents show that the Biden administration wanted to expand COVID-era censorship pressuring Big Tech to suppress what it labeled “misinformation.” Think about how insane that is. The people in power got to decide what was true AND what you were allowed to question. And people wonder why Americans have lost trust in institutions.

Happy Columbus Day. In 1492, Christopher Columbus set out across the Atlantic in search of what lay beyond the known world. At Protect the Public’s Trust, our work is a different kind of discovery. Through public records requests and investigations, we uncover and reveal what government is up to.

Back in 2021, we filed a Hatch Act complaint against Dr. Fauci for alleged impermissible political activity in the days before the 2020 election. The Office of Special Counsel termed it a "close call." New revelations from the diary he kept on a government server show it may have been closer than they realized.
