Tonight we celebrate a South Australian milestone - the Dunstan Government’s end to the six o’clock swill.
A reform that changed the way South Australians lived, socialised and enjoyed our city.
Great to join the Dunstan Foundation and the Australian Hotels Association to mark the occasion - and reflect on a chapter of our state’s history that still shapes South Australia today.
Sell out crowds for the first 3 days of the Sydney Test. But it is curious that our major city now has the 2nd smallest capacity stadium of the series.

Running a pub in South Australia isn't easy! That is why the AHA|SA is calling on legislators and regulators to seriously consider the growing list of red tape that our hotel members grapple with every day! #sahotels

Conor Gallagher is vital for Chelsea. Selling him would be a huge mistake. theguardian.com/football/art…

Conor Gallagher has matured greatly, captained the team & had a decent season. Chelsea need stability during a difficult time, you build around these type of players, not sell them. He has to stay! #OneOfOurOwn 👏🏴

Anyone else struggling today without any tweets from AFL clubs telling us how to think?
So apparently one of the light bulbs in one of the towers was found to be only 40 watts, not 60, so understandable they needed to go off.

SA will not be banning the schnitzel or new gas connections
Natural Gas is essential for our decarbonisation plans
Any pub bought schnitzel in an electrified kitchen in Victoria has a much larger carbon footprint than any SA pub

'Old codger' territory I know, but I sat out in the crowd last night at MCG and swear the wall-to-wall white noise has risen to unbearable levels. Ads, stupid promos, basketball style intros, demands to 'make some noise'. Can't even talk to people you're sitting with. Unbearable.
So the AFL suspend the goal umpire for the rest of the year, including finals. Typical AFL. Sacrifice anyone. Unless you are in their Club, people don’t count. They call it “user error”, therefore nothing to do with us.

Horrified to read multiple reports in Aust media this morning of politicians campaigning for a public holiday when Matilda’s win the ⚽️#WorldCup2023 ! Seriously! Did we ever need a better example of how elected officials just do not understand sport 🤦♂️🤬
