I don't understand this AI bubble talk. Like, what do you mean, doubling, tripling, one-hundred-folding the staff of every company on Earth is … bad for the economy …? We won't stop improving AI, so, huh?
Well put.
The funniest thing about the anti-AI crowd is that they genuinely believe humanity should slow down scientific progress so they can keep doing things a machine could do better.
We’re talking about curing diseases, ending scarcity and potentially defeating aging.
But sure, let’s put all that on hold because someone is emotionally attached to their job title.
Key economic concepts not understood by many conservatives/liberals and their cognitive failures associated with them.
You know what may protect us from rogue AI? Aligned AI. Nothing else, and certainly not any regulations.
They say delegating tasks to an AI makes you dumber. But it seems pretty clear to me that it must be the delegating, right, not the AI? Which would mean …
Real progress is actually measured in *free time*, not other resources. Therefore, it should be our primary goal to have a 4-day/32-hour workweek. Or at least reduce it by, like, an hour a year or so. If you defend the 40-hour workweek, you're brainwashed.
The difference between the reasonable left (actual 'left') and the radical left ('woke') lies in the balance between reason and emotion when forming an opinion about something. It's really that easy.
The same goes for conservatives and libertarians, by the way. The radical ones are just driven by fear or greed, respectively.
Maybe I should sell some of the popular stocks I own to make them immediately 'go brrr' again for everyone else. What do you think?
If you think AI has hit a wall or that it is a bubble about to burst, I urge you to try the ChatGPT app and its agentic capabilities. We'll want more of that, and I mean everyone who works at a PC, much more, and we'll need a lot of compute and memory for it.
