4 new cases implicating Big Tech in the deaths of teens were filed today. They all died in the past 2 years.
Long after Zuck apologized.
Long after every platform vowed to do more.
They continued lobbying against regulation & doing business as usual.

The more of these cases get filed, the more we find out about how Big Tech made decisions to prioritize profit over safety, long after promising Congress & parents they could self police.
It's worth noting all of these children died after KOSA passed the Senate in 2024.
The Kids Online Safety Act is up for markup next week & survivor families believe & hope longtime champion @MarshaBlackburn can play hero once again & make the technical update KOSA needs to make the bipartisan compromise struck in 2024 effective in a 2026 post-verdicts landscape
Ahead of a markup in the Senate Commerce Committee, 60+ kids' safety advocates, including
@DesignItForUs ,@CommonSense, @ptogetheraction,
@ncypalliance, have clear red lines: A strong duty of care, no sweeping AI preemption, and setting a regulatory floor, not a ceiling.
There's no accountability unless you go to the top.
That's why we joined @Parents_Rise in calling on
@ChuckGrassley & @SenatorDurbin
to subpoena Zuckerberg & Pichai to get them to testify in front of Congress after reports WH intervened to spare them. politico.com/live-updates/20…

The family whose son inspired legislation to crack down on the exploitation of children on social media is condemning a White House intervention that secured administration support for a child online safety package:

Tim & Tamia Woods call for Zuckerberg to be forced to testify after reports Meta tried to spare the CEO Congressional questioning in exchange for WH support of the James T. Woods Act.
Named after their son.
Who died after being sextorted on Instagram.

To say this is infuriating is an understatement. We stand with Tamia, Tim, and every family that has turned grief into a relentless fight to protect other children.
To support Tim and Tamia, start with the Do It For James Foundation, also named in honor of their son, to find out about the amazing work they do supporting youth mental health & educating in schools: letsdifj.org/
Us, @NationalParents, survivor parents @Parents_Rise,
teachers at @AFTunion, @NAACP, @NCOSE & hundreds of others OPPOSE this bill.
Kids DO need protections fit for the 21st century.
The KIDS Act isn't that. It's a gift to Big Tech. And we're 👀 who stands w/ tech vs families
🚨 TODAY 🚨
The House is voting on @HouseCommerce’s bipartisan KIDS Act, protecting the privacy and safety of kids online, empowering parents, and holding Big Tech accountable for failing our kids.
Today’s kids need protections fit for the 21st century, and we are ready to deliver.

The KIDS Act claims to protect children online, but only weakens accountability for Big Tech by removing key protections around harms like eating disorders, suicide, and addiction. Sign the petition at the link below to stand with us.

ParentsTogether is in agreement w/ @Parents_Rise. No duty of care means the harms that killed & harmed so many kids are not covered. KIDS doesn't cut it.
Our members do not support the KIDS Act & are spending this weekend letting their members of Congress & leadership know.
Grieving parents are spending the weekend before #America250 frantically emailing & calling members of Congress, pleading with their reps not to give a get out of jail free card to Big Tech in their late children's names. 😢
Dozens of tech safety groups urge House to reject KIDS package
