Haley Stevens says Hasan Piker was one reason why she endorsed Mike Rogers.

Kansas Democratic Senate nominee Adam Hamilton on transgender rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself. I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”

dumb take
The Democrats are pretty obviously clearing the path for Kamala Harris to run in 2028. AOC signaling a senate run. Gavin Newsom straight up saying he won't run if she does. Kamala Harris is a weak candidate and they are wrong if they think a real primary hurts more than it helps.

always blaming the advisors
Mark Halperin: Republican strategists are starting to complain about Susie Wiles and James Blair, two people considered untouchable in the Republican world. They are starting to say the strategy wasn't good.. not controlling the President to be the champion of AI and data centers, talking more about the ballroom than affordability, and not having a plan to deal with Congress to try to get some progress Link: youtube.com/live/tZq6qywTPsU…

this would be a pretty easy decision for AOC if she was already a senator like Bernie was in 2016
AOC owes her career to Bernie Sanders running a losing primary campaign and mainstreaming socialist politics. I don't care if she runs or not but "I might lose" is a terrible reason not to.

pretty interesting
The Downballot: Massive primary turnout points to biggest year for Democrats since Watergate In midterms over the past 80 years, there’s been a surprisingly tight relationship between voting behavior in a given cycle’s primaries and the House popular vote in the general election that follows. Based on that relationship, this year’s primary turnout suggests that Democrats would win the House vote by an enormous 13-point spread Link: the-downballot.com/p/massive…

the vibe I get reading this article is AOC ultimately wont run in 2028
NYT: AOC says the country never electing a female president will factor into her 2028 decision. “This country has never elected a female president. Why are we pretending that this is not a factor?” AOC said with a laugh. “That doesn’t make it impossible, but to act as though it’s not a factor in anything ever is really a form of, like, denialism.” Link to article: nytimes.com/2026/09/22/us/po…

not saying Turek can't win but I think states like Iowa are just hard to poll and you end up with these results

8 point swing from 2024 would put El-Sayed in a pretty comfortable position to win
