My ~10 years at Bungie, which ended yesterday, were a gift. Building Gambit was the best experience of my professional life. Leading the Worlds team I discovered the deep satisfaction of fostering a collaborative environment where people are empowered to do their best work.

When we were making Gambit, we had to name the object to which players bring their motes. We had all kinds of thematic names on the list, but none of them was as good as “bank”. Bank lacks flavor, but makes up for it with instant player contextual understanding.

Just helped 2 people on Fireteam Finder do Ascent on saga tier, all on text chat. Took a few tries, but we got there. I don't know why everyone doesn't spend all their time helping people like that, it's really gratifying.

Just did my first Fireteam Finder ever, for co-op Ascent. I was only player on mic. One player left because we kept failing the final boss. The other guy stuck with me, and we succeeded 2-man on our very next attempt. I think it was easier 2-man because we always knew our role.
