John McCain told me in 2007 that Lindsay Graham was “the smartest Senator in Washington”. Sadly, he was not the most courageous. That title belonged to McCain and whoever was second was in the distance.
That would only work if they were built like, well, trucks.
I didn’t think the Four Seasons Landscaping episode would ever be beat, that it was a standalone.
If this is true, I was wrong.
The woman referenced in this tweet is Black, which genuinely has me wondering if someone in this administration actually offered her as a candidate.
To clarify for the crazy uncle, the Concorde had a horrific crash in Paris. Subsequently the remaining 13 or so remaining planes were grounded and never flew again. It’s an open question whether he ever flew on it, let alone “often”. The speed was never “cut”.
Let me get this straight.
The race is tight, no winner has been named, and she wants a recount? What if she wins? Think she will still want a recount?
Maybe a tad premature? My goodness, these people take stupid to a whole new level.
As I mentioned earlier, Virginia Foxx has already called for a recount.
But she can’t actually file for it until after the official canvass on November 13th. She’s trailing by 99 votes as of this morning, and there’s still a couple thousand provisional ballots under review.
When the recount begins, I'm hoping we can find at least 11,780 votes…
If new Democrat controlled states (MI, PA, NV & WI) and maybe AZ join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact we can significantly change the Electoral Vote system. By all that is holy, make this happen, Democrats. It’s long past time to elect the President by popular vote.
Yeah, sort of like a physician being the deciding vote confirming RFK as head of HHS. That’s done wonders for the “find another protein” party.
Cassidy: To say Paxton was flawed is an incredible understatement. I have no doubt that that just kind of spread all over the Republican brand in Texas. If this is what's coming out of a Republican closed primary, a fellow that had all of his ethical complaints, cheating on his wife, all these sorts of things, there's no way that does not hurt the Republican brand.
Sure, he captained three teams in HS, gave the valedictory address at UMichigan, has a medical degree from Columbia and was a Rhodes Scholar. Classic inferiority complex history.
“Before I get started let me be clear about something…”
What the Senator fails to note is that, as is her wont, she voted against Trump only when a careful calculus showed her opposition was irrelevant to the total.
Sen. Susan Collins on why she lost:
“I was caught up in the Trump tsunami that swept away many incumbent Republican senators who have served their states well for many years and really care about our country.”
“Everybody ignores the fact that I voted to convict him in the second impeachment trial. What bigger break could there be? It is never enough. I want results and they want angry rhetoric.” Collins told The New York Times.
Senator, during the six years of Trump your support of him ignored every single one of these precepts you claim to hold dear.
Last night, Republicans lost the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, and my home state of Texas, a conservative cornerstone for more than three decades, because our party forgot the basic rules of coalition politics:
1. Add, don’t subtract
2. Be likeable
3. Do what you promised
4. Character & integrity still matter
Time to turn the page and rebuild. Read my full thoughts in the @WSJ: wsj.com/opinion/republicans-…
Every so often a Republican speaks their own truth and it is both terrifying and a rare moment of honesty.
They may wait until after Mexico pays for the border wall but sure, this will happen. He’s done so much to solidify the relationship with Canada that it’s a sure thing. The Art of the Deal, right?
