That means less time on screens for our young learners and at least one hour of learning a day using pen and paper.
Today is Public Education Day 馃摎馃挜
As the Minister for Education and Early Learning, I have the privilege of meeting all the incredible students in our public education system. I also get to see the inspiring things they go on to accomplish after they graduate. That's why I am passionate about strengthening our public education and ensuring all NSW kids have access to it.
I want to thank all our public school teachers and education staff for your hard work and dedication, we appreciate what you do. 鉂わ笍
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning.
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.

There's a growing split in Sydney over co-ed schools. While Kincoppal's Junior School, along with Shore's lower grades, are going back to single sex, others are embracing it. @sarina_andaloro
I wanted to share a huge thank you to my colleague and friend, @CourtneyHoussos.
I was able to hit the ground running when I returned to work, and it was made possible through her great support.
Welcome back to school NSW! Looking forward to what 2026 will bring. 馃摎馃殞鉁忥笍

This cowardly act of terrifying violence is shocking and painful to see, and represents some of our worst fears of terrorism in Sydney.
I cannot thank the staff and students at Jordan Springs Public School enough for this very special delivery. 馃ス鉂わ笍
My heart is full to the brim thanks to all your kind messages, words of motivation and very clever puns.
It is with sadness that we reflect on the passing of Uncle Greg Simms, a proud Elder of the Gundungurra of the Blue Mountains and the Bidjigal of the Dharug Nation.
Thank you for the lifelong, selfless contributions you have made Uncle Greg - your legacy will live on through all the people you have impacted through your lifetime.
