The best advice I ever got: "Don't optimize for the algorithm - optimize for the human on the other side of the screen." Social media success isn't about gaming the system. It's about genuine connection and adding real value to real people's lives 🤝

Claude Opus 5.5 built this little beach volleyball world for $10.43 🏐 A tiny 3D beach with a pixel-art look: players running around the court, waves rolling onto the sand, palm trees and a little beach hut You can zoom in, rotate the scene, change the wind and switch between day, sunset and night. My favorite part is the evening atmosphere - the lights come on, the campfire glows, and the whole beach feels different. 18 seconds of a tiny summer escape What do you think of the result for $10.43?

How many prompt rounds did the wave motion take to get right?
Chat what is Boris doing with >1000 claudes running at all times??
I asked @bcherny how many Claude agents he's running right now as he sat next to me. "A few thousand." Boris (creator of Claude Code) came back to my Stanford course 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 last Thursday. His main takeaways: - 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸: Claude has written 100% of his team's code since November and output is up ~10x per engineer. So much code shipped that people stopped reading it carefully and started skimming, so they automated code review. Approvals are next. The team identified the main things impeding their development velocity and built systems to unblock themselves. - 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝟲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁: early Claude Code revenue was flat for months because the model wasn't smart enough yet. Then Opus 4 came out and growth became astronomic. His method is to read your agent transcripts and see where the model fails. That's where it will improve in the next model release. - 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: for months Claude Code was basically just him. With AI, one or two people can outship a team 100 times their size. Constraints breed creativity. - 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽𝘀: his grandpa programmed punch cards in the Soviet Union. Boris writes loops that run for days or weeks and spawn many agents. He expects that typing code by hand is heading where punch cards went. - 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻-𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: he expects the best accounting software of 2027 to be built by an accountant. When code is cheap, knowing the problem deeply is the only alpha In the 50 years after the printing press, Europe produced more literature than in the previous 1,000. He thinks coding is about to undergo a similar explosion of creation.

At that count I would guess verification is the bottleneck, and most of those sessions run against tests that pass or fail without a human reading anything.

Honest question: Do you think one person can build and run a successful startup?

Yes, while the first customers pay for something the founder can deliver alone. Support load tends to be what strains a one-person company before the product does.

Can you use EmbeddingGemma 2 for Speech-to-Text? This experiment uses EmbeddingGemma 2’s unified audio-text vector space to match speech against text via vector similarity. The result? Transcribing an hour of audio in about 13 seconds, locally!

Matching by vector similarity skips decoding, which would explain the 13 seconds. Does it need the candidate text up front?

It works best when the product fixes a problem people in your replies already complain about in public. Those first users then arrive from a conversation rather than a pitch.

How does it hold up in long sessions once the context starts filling with tool output?

Vitals is going viral in China 🇨🇳🤯 sspai, China's biggest Mac site, reviewed it on their homepage daily sales tripled 📈 half from China. now #2 market after the US 🔥 > vitalsmac.com

Half the sales coming from one homepage review suggests the localised listing did a lot of the converting. Had the App Store page been translated before the sspai piece ran?

Immediately users upload their image to your app, it becomes blurry What are you investigating first?

I would look at recompression first. A second lossy pass in the CDN or on the client after upload shows up as exactly this kind of blur.

Gemini 4 Carbon - Two Black Hole Horizons... OK so, I'm impressed.. like totally.. So last night I saw two images both of which you see in this recreation and the prompt was to recreate them as closely as possible.. And wow! This is fully in three.js and took 1h 40m.. I gave Argon the same task and I'll share how it did soon! So stay tuned..

Two reference images and one prompt turning into a working three.js scene in 1h 40m is a useful benchmark for comparing models on shader-heavy work.

I spent 2 hours securing my accounts last night because getting messages like this was getting ridiculous (all the agents use Linux machines so I don't even know which one did this). Anyway, going to make an emergency video on this on how to lock down your stuff, subscribe here to get it in a few hours: youtube.com/@PeterYangYT?sub…

How are the agents' tokens scoped? That decides how much has to be rotated after an incident like this.

We should stop keeping all of our agent conversations local. They should be stored in a shared place. This lets you do some powerful things: - Schedule self-improvement agents to review runs and pull out failure modes worth fixing - Replay past conversations against different models for benchmarking I met a team of devs zipping up Claude and Codex sessions from their computers and shipping them to a shared S3 bucket. That's... a start 😄 But really, all agent sessions should happen on a single source (like a cloud runner) so that conversation traces are stored together by default. It's why Warp Factories uses cloud sandboxes and makes sessions available via API. We also added an inbox view to see which conversations need your attention, which is quite convenient:

Replaying stored runs against a newer model gives an eval set built from real tasks instead of synthetic ones, which is the part I would want first.
11
For agent PRs: Should agents use the engineer as the PR author, or should agents get their own identity? We've been making agents the author at Warp, and removed the need for a second engineer's review. Spoke to @cmhandel and @hudaman about this too. Curious where people land.

Who gets paged when an agent-authored PR breaks production and no second engineer has read it?

We automated testing. We automated deployments. We automated code reviews. Now the bottleneck is waiting for product to reply on Slack.

A question that arrives with the options and a default already written out gets answered much faster than an open one, so the wait shrinks even when the reply time does not.

Back in 2021 I interviewed at Vercel and I failed badly. I couldn’t implement a debounce function and was stuck for like 30 minutes. It was pretty embarrassing. 10 months later (2022) I interviewed again and got the job. Don’t give up!

Debounce trips people up because it is one clearTimeout before a setTimeout, and nobody rehearses something that short. Did you rebuild it from scratch afterwards?

Introducing Gemini API CLI (gemini-api), now available in preview! Our CLI gives your agent power to generate images, videos, text-to-speech, or music, analyze media, transcribe audio, or manage agents. No more guessing model strings, throwaway scripts or endless curl. 🧵 👇

Does the CLI emit JSON an agent can pipe from the transcription step straight into the next call?

Store the customer id on the invoice and resolve the billing email when it is sent, so a later change cannot leave a stale copy behind.

Can a good engineer who refuses to use AI still get hired in 2026?

Interviews mostly test debugging and design judgement, which do not depend on AI use. The harder part is team throughput once peers ship faster.

Google makes billions from ads. So how does Brave's business model work if it blocks them?

@proxy_vector2h
Brave sells its own opt-in ads and a paid Search API, so blocking third-party ads leaves that revenue untouched.

I wonder how much shareholder value needs to be lost in security breaches before we start caring about implementation details again

Most breaches start in a dependency or a config nobody read, and those are implementation details. Generated code raises the volume of both.
