Launching RoomTSC: a (very) small lab in SF working on a room-temperature superconductor.
There's no way we can make tall claims. Nobody has found one since superconductivity was discovered in 1911 and we may not either. It may take years, months - who knows. But what we can do is try our best.
What we want to show is how far a scrappy lab with limited resources can get on a moonshot. AI lets you work on moonshot ideas with few resources, which is the only reason a team our size can attempt this.
If it works as a template, we hope more people take on problems like this.

This is very accurate. India needs a cultural reset that respects and celebrates builders, risk-takers, and value-creators over government jobs or handouts.
Everybody must build something they own (software, hardware, or hobby project) to learn independence, discipline, and finishing.
Building teaches that creating from scratch is hard and requires planning, patience, and massive effort and true independence comes from building for yourself with no one directing you.
Nothing is done until it is 100% done. The last 10% is the hardest.
You should be an unconditional cheerleader for builders and reject the doomer/scarcity mindset.
Optimism is a moral duty because it is hard and rare, and it creates abundance.

Agency is one of the most important skill sets.
Agency = the will and drive to get things done without being micromanaged.
Very few people have any agency.
Agency exists as a spectrum. Higher agency people are very driven. Can achieve their goals in the face of all odds. Lower agency people just exist like NPCs.
It’s also a vector. Good and Evil agency. Some people are driven to sabotage. They will work against good for no reason. Some are very driven and cause a lot of damage.
Thing about democracies is that leaders are elected not based on their own agency but the agency of others to come out and vote.
This is why democracies rarely work for poorer societies. You need great agency to uplift millions - needs great drive and focus. Like Lee Kuan Yew. But that is not sufficient to get votes. But that’s better than agency of raw Communism which can cause massive damage eg Pol Pot or Mao’s China with 50mn dead.
People with no agency won’t come out to vote. People driven by bare minimum - cash for votes - will use their minimal agency to vote for exactly that.
The only way to align agency is to do it when the nation is young.
Once you lose that agency it’s hard to get it back unless by force. But that’s a roll of dice. Who’s to say the leader driven by agency won’t be evil and kill millions.
There’s no easy answer except raising the agency of individual citizens. Either by education or natively via culture.

Modern browsers support Web Assembly (WASM), which is a virtual ISA that portable languages like C/C++/Rust can be compiled to.
In this case, PartMode leverages OpenCascade (C++), ThreeJS (JS and C++), along with a bunch of purpose-written code.

except for skills 🤭👇🏽
"a skill" is literally just a text file you give your agent. it's nothing more than a carefully crafted prompt. in that way it's trivial and not worth much.
but where it gets interesting is when you want to automate a series of tasks. you're not going to sit and type prompts all day. you set it up so a harness can just read the skills from a folder and get the job done.
where it gets even more interesting is when you discover that some prompts are better at certain tasks than others. so you build a bunch of specialized skills and let the right one handle the right job. and do a whole lot of automated AB testing which you can't do manually with prompts.
lastly - skills shine the most with cheaper models. anyone can use fable 5 to get a high iq output. but getting high quality output out of gemma 4 e4b ? now that's a skill.
if you can nail that reliably, you can basically do a lot of work without optimizing for tokens or cost. and that's why skills are important.
