I now work in CryoEM, but still find the method of time resolved FTIR spectroscopy most elegant. Looking at protein reactions label free, with ms time resolution and sub-angstrom spatial resolution. CryoEM is not quite there (yet) :)

New research from our lab! We elucidated how Atg18 oligomers form structural scaffolds for membrane interaction. Lots of #CryoEM structures (Helical assemblies, SPA, subtomo) suggest a conserved interaction motif for Atg18-Atg2 biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
