I'll suggest one prospecting angle you can use to find better customers this week.
Before building a prospect list, ask:
- What industry are we targeting?
- What pain do they likely have?
- What trigger makes them need us now?
- Who is the decision maker?
- What would make them reply today?
A good list starts before the search begins.
A CRM will not save bad targeting.
If you are selling to the wrong people, better follow-up only helps you annoy them more efficiently.
Start with the market.
Then the message.
Then the system.
Cold outreach is not dead.
Lazy outreach is dead.
If the message sounds like it was sent to 5,000 people, the prospect will treat it like noise.
The goal is not to sound clever.
The goal is to sound relevant.
Be honest:
What is harder for you right now?
- Finding prospects
- Writing the message
- Following up
- Or closing the deal after they reply
Drop one cold message you are using or thinking of using.

Don't start with: who can I sell to?
Start with:
1. Who has the problem?
2. Who knows they have the problem?
3. Who has money to fix it?
4. Who can decide quickly?
