Don't use NordVPN, these companies are centralized and you can't tell what they do with your data. Instead use a decentralized VPN (dVPN). @SentinelP2P is THE ecosystem where several dVPN apps are developed. Opt out from these legacy centralized companies for Christ sake. #P2P

GM Bluefrens ☀️ If you use Linux, Katacomb VPN is something you definitely need to try 🐧
Katacomb VPN shows how specialized dVPN applications can be built on top of Sentinel by independent teams, while still giving users direct access to the same decentralized bandwidth network underneath. Built by @proofoftrinity, a long-time Sentinel community member, Katacomb is an open-source Linux desktop client designed for users who want more control over how they connect. It supports six protocols, including WireGuard, V2Ray, OpenVPN, Xray, AmneziaWG, and Hysteria2, with node discovery by location, protocol, and price. Katacomb also supports multi-hop connections across compatible nodes, direct on-chain payments to node operators, latency and download-speed testing before connecting, plus controls for kill switch, DNS, and split tunneling. The latest v1.6.0 update improves the nodes dashboard, adding more polish to the operator and user experience. Katacomb also includes provider tooling for creating plans, leasing nodes, and monitoring subscriber activity, making it more than a basic VPN client. This is the value of an open dVPN ecosystem. Independent teams can build applications for different users, platforms, and use cases, while Sentinel provides the shared network layer powered by independent peer-to-peer nodes. Three new dVPN apps. Three independent teams. One shared decentralized bandwidth network. And @SentinelP2P is now approaching 2 million unique users. This is what infrastructure adoption starts to look like. Let’s unpack it. 🧵👇 - 1️⃣ 🛡️ Sentinel was never meant to be one VPN This distinction matters. Sentinel is not building a single consumer-facing dVPN and asking everyone to use it. It provides an open infrastructure layer on which independent teams can build their own applications. Same network. Different products. Different communities. - 2️⃣ 🚀 Three new applications recently launched on Sentinel 🔹 ChibaTunnel Open-source desktop dVPN for Windows, macOS and Linux, developed by @TkdAxel. 🔹 VeilDVPN Android dVPN from @Bitveilofficial. 🔹 Katacomb VPN Open-source Linux client from long-time Sentinel community member @proofoftrinity. Three teams taking three different routes into the same network. - 3️⃣ 💻 ChibaTunnel brings Sentinel to the desktop Windows. macOS. Linux. The important part is not simply another interface. It is another independent entry point into Sentinel’s decentralized bandwidth infrastructure. Builders do not need to recreate the whole network underneath their product. They can build on top of it. - 4️⃣ 📱 VeilDVPN takes another route Veil focuses on Android and introduces features including: 🔹 multi-hop connectivity 🔹 subscription support 🔹 direct $P2P payments The same underlying infrastructure can support a very different user experience. That flexibility is part of the architecture. - 5️⃣ ⚙️ Katacomb pushes the technical side further Katacomb supports six protocols: 🔹 WireGuard 🔹 AmneziaWG 🔹 OpenVPN 🔹 V2Ray 🔹 XRAY 🔹 Hysteria2 Alongside multi-hop connectivity and on-chain payments. Sentinel provides the shared foundation. Builders decide how their product behaves. - 6️⃣ 🌐 This is where the model becomes interesting A traditional VPN company usually controls: the application the servers the subscriptions the infrastructure the user relationship Sentinel separates these layers. Independent node operators provide bandwidth. Builders create applications. Users choose how they access the network. The infrastructure becomes shared instead of vertically owned. - 7️⃣ 🧩 Think of Sentinel as a public railway The tracks already exist. Different teams can build different trains for different passengers. One may optimize for mobile simplicity. Another for advanced privacy. Another for desktop users. They do not need to build the railway again. They can focus on where they want to take users. - 8️⃣ 📡 And that railway is already carrying traffic Sentinel reports more than 1.9 million unique users across its dVPN ecosystem. The network is now approaching the 2 million milestone. That matters. Infrastructure is easy to describe in architecture diagrams. It becomes much more interesting when independent applications begin bringing real users onto it. - 9️⃣ 🏗️ More applications can strengthen the network effect More builders can mean: 🔹 more interfaces for users 🔹 more markets and communities reached 🔹 more demand for decentralized bandwidth 🔹 more opportunities for node operators 🔹 more experimentation around pricing and UX Instead of betting adoption on one flagship app, Sentinel can distribute that challenge across an ecosystem. - 🔟 🔵 One network. Many doors. ChibaTunnel, VeilDVPN and Katacomb are different products. That is precisely the point. Sentinel does not need every user to enter through the same door. It needs builders willing to create more doors into the same decentralized infrastructure. And with Sentinel preparing for its move to @solana , this next phase is arriving with new apps already live. More apps. More access points. More users. More decentralized bandwidth in motion. 🛡️🌐 Explore applications built on Sentinel: docs.sentinel.co/get-started… 🔁💙 Open infrastructure should help more builders create useful products, not force every team to rebuild the network from zero. 💬 What kind of dVPN app would you like to see built on Sentinel? Let’s discuss and move forward together toward a new decentralized world. #NDW #Sentinel #dVPN #DePIN #validator #P2P $P2P

I put my @SentinelP2P dVPN node measurement data behind an x402 paywall. No account. No API key. No signup. An AI agent calls the endpoint, gets a 402, signs a USDC payment on @base , and receives the data. nodescorecard.xyz

Internet censorship is becoming increasingly sophisticated. Governments around the world use different techniques to restrict access to websites, apps and online services. During internet restrictions in Iran, applications built on the Sentinel Network helped people reach the open internet. Try a decentralized VPN: docs.sentinel.co/get-started… To understand why decentralized infrastructure proved so valuable, it helps to understand how governments actually censor the internet. Governments rarely rely on a single technique. Instead, they combine multiple methods that target different layers of the internet. DNS blocking removes websites from being found. IP blocking prevents connections to servers. URL filtering blocks individual pages while leaving the rest of a website accessible. Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) identifies and interferes with VPN protocols and other encrypted traffic. Removing apps from app stores makes VPNs harder to install and update. Governments can also pressure hosting providers, search engines and payment providers, making online services harder to discover, access and fund. Because censorship happens across multiple layers, there is no single technology that solves it. The Sentinel Network takes a different approach. Instead of relying on centralized infrastructure, applications connect to a decentralized marketplace of independently operated nodes and can use multiple transport and obfuscation methods depending on network conditions. No solution can guarantee access in every situation, but decentralization removes many of the single points of failure governments typically target first, giving developers and users more options to stay connected.

This crap platform claimed to allow free speech, it's never been like that.
Our lead dev and CEO, @freQniKs , went to check his notifications on X, and was presented with this screen. They have locked him out of his account until he passes identity verification. Surely, something must be wrong @elonmusk - we thought this was a platform of free speech just like your forefathers had the right to criticize government under assumed names in newspapers.
