Really exciting to see this work with @RedHat and @crossplane_io — now you can build hybrid applications that consume services offered by cloud providers as well as services you’re managing in-cluster 👏
Brand new blog post out about using the @crossplane_io operator for @redhat @openshift to provision infrastructure and services for cloud native apps in the hybrid cloud 🎉 See it in action at our Community Day event tomorrow! bit.ly/2Z7dccI blog.crossplane.io/crossplan…

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but any ETA on 1.16? 1.15 will pretty soon be EOL, and I'd love to keep using an EKS setup for my @KnativeProject development 😬

We value this skill highly, despite the fact that comments can only tell you what you THOUGHT you were doing. You are an unreliable narrator! Instrumentation is comments and documentation, times execution. Instrumentation closes the loop of intention meets implementation.

omg, omg! It happened 🥳 TBH I have no words to explain how thankful I am! Being selected as a JC is a great honour 😊 I know many JCs in person, and these are one of the smartest folks I ever knew. It almost makes me feel that I don't deserve it😅 Nevertheless, THANK YOU! 🎉

I don't know who needs to hear this, but asking dumb questions isn't a problem, it's a super power.

The politics around Istio and Knative within Google are fascinating. AFAICT from the outside, they are primarily driven by a few execs who believe that Google "gave away the farm" when they moved K8s into a foundation. A few of my thoughts on this subject: 🧵

Unit testing is fine but you need integration testing if you use external resources. Before #Docker setting up a test environment was painful. Join @bsideup at #VDZ20 to look at Testcontainers - a library that takes the pain away. #itWillBeFun Details: buff.ly/2uedl10

Where it works, not having to worry about patching or scaling is pretty nice. As is not paying when you're not taking traffic.

Next iteration of Knative + riff ?
Cloud run + function framework + cloud events (when standard lands) looks a lot like a FAAS
