Uh oh. I sent an e-mail to someone at the school (not a teacher) with a Dear (Given Name) if I may, and received a Dear Ms. Stallings response. I may not!

I check what posts are getting traffic on my blog. Today this nine-year-old twitter inspired post seems to have been revived by some one and being shared. It seems to hold up. What did I miss? livyarrow.org/2017/09/14/han…

It's funny the magic of writing. I resist it. I do it. I edit. I re-read my own words a dozen times. My brain is rewired. I'm at peace. The words put everything in order and my emotions follow suit. I'm suspicious the words replace reality, like a memory based on a photograph.

It’s not just centaurs! From a chamber tomb near the Tomb of the Five Chairs in the Banditaccia necropolis, an amphora with a satyr brandishing a tree (apparently followed by or chasing a man). #VillaGiulia 📸 me

I taught the argument of this paper in tutorials for many years on the assumption someone else had come up with it. Eventually I decided to look up who it was, only to discover, by process of elimination, that that person was in fact me during Finals revision. Way to feel old.
