A look into the future for the Premier League teams this season. Forest have a goal difference of -3 when they should be +4.

Those who follow me know my love for Jens Petter Hauge. Go give this a read if you want to know why.
Jens Petter Hauge was once one of Europe’s most exciting young talents. What happened next? After catching attention at Bodø/Glimt, Hauge moved to AC Milan before his career took a different path. Now back in Norway, he has a chance to remind everyone why he attracted so much attention in the first place. @professorscarn revisits the career of one of Norway’s most overlooked talents. breakingthelines.com/@sandib…

Manchester City has been found guilty of 114 charges and should face punishment. Does that mean that Mancini, Pellegrini and Pep were bad managers?

For me those 2 statements have no relation to each other. Now some will say if they didn't have the players they bought through unfair means they wouldn't have been able to win anything. Well it might have taken them longer but their tactics weren't fraudulent.

Mancini started it and Pep topped off a legacy at Manchester City. The level of pure managerial quality will always remain. And those 2 things should never be correlated.

182 - Manchester United have the highest number of touches in the opposition box

Distance covered to chances being created has a correlation of r=0.18. All this talk about United not running enough is misplaced. City run less, Liverpool the least.
34
Manchester United have a quality problem, not a running problem. They take a lot of shots, Brentford take almost 6 shots less per game with a similar quality.

football-docs v0.11.1 is out! this one welcomes a new provider: @driblab 👋 what is football-docs? it is a searchable index of football data provider documentation for your AI coding agents, so we’re all on the same (and latest) page. Driblab publishes its API guide publicly, which made it a great fit. the docs are built from that guide and checked against the live API, so your agent knows what the API actually sends back, down to the field names. the index is now at 2,325 searchable chunks across 24 providers and tools. the full details are in the release notes: github.com/withqwerty/footba… learn more here (including installation instructions): nutmeg.withqwerty.com/#footb… as always, feedback is welcome!

0.16 - Arsenal have conceded 4 goals with an xG/Shot of 0.16 for those shots on goal.

The fact that Bruno Guimares was brought in the break lines, and we start Havertz who doesnt make enough runs behind opposition defenses is slightly concerning. Gyokeres atleast makes the runs. If you start Bruno, you have to start Gyokeres.

Teams are starting to realize it's difficult to find spaces behind the Arsenal defense.

Last season Arsenal conceded only 6 goals from outside the box. Its 3 already this season.

Viktor Gyokeres has 5 touches in the Ipswich game in the first half. Is he just being used as a body to create space?

Marli Salmon's confidence on the ball when recycling the ball is very impressive. Just got dragged down in transition to the flanks.

Noni Madueke's second goal since March 2026. Remember he played the World Cup. 24th May Palace 15th September Ipswich
