Who cares where a FORMER politician lives? He served the state. Now he’s free to live wherever he wants. Why doesn’t Jess Wilson speak up and say ENOUGH. The Liberal nutters, conspiracy theorists need to let it be. Beyond weird. @TedBaillieu @jeff_kennett @LiberalVictoria #Auspol

When he is rejected and betrayed by those once called friends. When allies grow weary, politicians negotiate, and some are already poised to shake the hand of the executioner. When his life and the life of his country are daily targets for rockets, drones, bombs, and lies. I have no idea how this man has endured all this. And continues to endure it.
He does not look like a movie hero. He looks like a man who hasn't slept in years. He has been cast aside. With eyes burning for the homes of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. With eyes that see all of Ukraine. He asks for no pity. He courageously asks for weapons. He does not flee. He stands his ground and bares his chest. When offered evacuation, he says: "I need ammunition, not a taxi." And this is not just a catchy phrase. It is a choice proven over years. Every day. Every night. Right now.
He has been betrayed and continues to be betrayed. He has been underestimated and continues to be underestimated. He has been insulted and continues to be insulted. He has been put to the test and continues to be put to the test. And he stands tall. In the shadow of ruined cities. With weary soldiers. In the shadow of a world that is also weary—a world that wants to forget this war in Ukraine and think of something that causes no suffering or stress, something pleasant. Yet he reminds everyone. He speaks to people as if holding their hands. And there is something in that which brings a lump to one's throat.
In all my life, I have never admired any public figure more than him. And I think, perhaps, I never will again. Because such admiration is not about politics. It is about a man who, when everything is falling apart, does not ask "Why me?" but—like a knight—does what must be done. I am certain he will stand firm, even if it costs him his life. Even if all his friends leave. Even if the whole world turns its back on him. He will not betray his principles.
The entire world respects him—not because he is perfect, but because he is the strongest of them all, because he has raised the banner of the highest values: human dignity, freedom, and democracy. And all of Ukraine stands with him—weary and wounded, yet unbowed. Perhaps in the future, you will vote for someone else in the presidential election. That is your right. But today, let us respect him. We have a president who deserves respect and of whom we need not be ashamed. May he have strength and patience.
Volodymyr Oleksandrovych deserves kind words and every form of support today. So let us give it to him—it is our duty!

President of Finland
" I think we need to make clear to the Russians and everyone else that there are a few things that are completely off the table in these negotiations.
One is EU membership. It is not Russia who decides on EU membership. It is the European Union who does that.
Two is NATO. It is not Russia that decides on NATO membership. It is the Alliance itself.
Three is Ukrainian defence. It is not Russia that decides on what Ukraine has by its border, when, where, and how.
And four: European security arrangements ... or order. It’s not Russia that decides on that. We already have a European security order and should stick to it."

I couldn't agree more...
It should be clear enough 🤷♀️

While others buried their heads in the sand, she was among the first to dare to send F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. While others were afraid to say a word against Putin, she stood firm despite Kremlin threats and supported the establishment of Ukrainian defense production on Danish soil.
This courageous woman is Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark and one of the most sincere and steadfast friends of the Ukrainian people. 🇩🇰
While some countries spent months arguing over what could and could not be given to Ukraine, Denmark simply stepped up and helped.
Mette Frederiksen has visited Ukraine repeatedly, supporting us not only with words but with her personal presence. She has addressed the Verkhovna Rada and repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine must receive everything it needs to prevail. Without fear. Without hesitation. Without unnecessary restrictions.
Under her leadership, Denmark has provided Ukraine with dozens of military aid packages worth billions of euros. Artillery, ammunition, heavy weapons — all of this is helping Ukrainian soldiers fight the Russian occupation and save Ukrainian lives.
Denmark was also among the first countries to make the historic decision to provide Ukraine with modern F-16 fighter jets. At a time when many said it was impossible, Denmark helped prove otherwise. That decision significantly strengthened the defense of Ukrainian skies.
And that is far from all.
Denmark pioneered direct financing of Ukrainian weapons production — including Bohdana self-propelled howitzers, drones and missiles — inside Ukraine itself. Denmark is not merely helping us fight today; it is investing in making Ukraine stronger tomorrow.
Moreover, despite constant threats from the Kremlin, Denmark agreed to host a facility operated by the Ukrainian company Fire Point for the production of rocket fuel. It is an extraordinary step and another demonstration that Russian intimidation does not dictate Danish policy.
Overall, Denmark has committed support to Ukraine equivalent to more than 3% of its GDP — one of the highest levels in the world. For a country of around six million people, this is more than generous assistance. It is an example of genuine responsibility and solidarity.
Denmark's military support alone has reached tens of billions of Danish kroner — billions of euros. Behind those numbers are lives saved, Ukrainian cities defended, and thousands of Ukrainian soldiers given a better chance to protect their homeland.
Denmark has also extended a helping hand to thousands of Ukrainian families forced to flee the war, providing them with refuge, safety, humanitarian assistance and financial support when they needed it most.
This is what a true friend looks like.
Not someone who talks endlessly, but someone who stands beside you when everything around you is dark. Not someone who searches for reasons to say no, but someone who finds a way to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Mette Frederiksen for her courage, humanity and unwavering support for Ukraine. And we owe the same immense gratitude to the people of Denmark, who have stood shoulder to shoulder with Ukrainians since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
🇺🇦🇩🇰 Kindness is never forgotten. Ukrainians will always remember those who did not turn away in our darkest hour, but stood beside us and helped us endure.
And as long as Ukraine has friends like Denmark, our faith in victory will only grow stronger.

I am grateful to Canada for the new defense package. Above all, it will strengthen our air defense – both our Patriots and our combat aircraft, which down Russian jet-powered “shaheds.”
Our pilots are also being trained here in Canada – 21 Ukrainians are undergoing training, and this will be a significant reinforcement – together with other countries that are training our people at various stages to operate combat aircraft.
Today, we reached an agreement on the Drone Deal, and the first document has been signed. This will give us additional opportunities to finance Ukraine’s defense, while giving Canada a new technological edge proven in modern warfare.

It's got to look out for its own interests, and it can no longer count on a mutually beneficial, enduring relationship with the US."

It’s not a trade deal. The US started an illegal trade war with illegal tariffs against Canada in the goal of taking over Canada.
Stop with the gaslighting, we’re done with it.
Americans support Donald Trump. American media supports Donald Trump. Constantly blaming Canada or Greenland or Europe or any other country you think you have the right to take over.
Your corrupt president is beyond incompetent and has nothing over Mark Carney. We woke up proud and unified this morning. Can’t say that about the US.
Canada does not trust the US no matter what you say. We judge you by your actions. As most countries. The relationship is over. Canadians are fine with it.

This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”

This is one of the most beloved paintings in America, and it puts its finger on something we all pass through, first as the child, and one day as the parent left behind...
The painting is Breaking Home Ties, by Norman Rockwell, on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post in 1954. A father and his teenage son sit side by side on the running board of a battered farm truck, waiting at a railway stop. A single track runs along the bottom of the picture. A ticket pokes from the boy's pocket. His suitcase is stacked with schoolbooks and wears a "State U" pennant. The train is coming to carry him off to college, away from home, for the first time in his life.
Everything is in the way they sit.
The son sits upright, scrubbed and dressed in his best, eyes fixed on the horizon, on the track, on the future rushing toward him. He is already half gone. For him that train is the beginning of everything.
His father sits beside him in worn work clothes and scuffed boots, looking the other way, down the line, as if he cannot bear to watch it arrive. The same train means the opposite thing to him. For the son it is the start of a life. For the father it is the day the house grows quieter, the chair at the table sits empty, and the person he built his world around walks out into a life that no longer has him at its centre.
Look at his hands. He is holding two hats. His own battered one, and resting on top of it, his son's crisp new one, held carefully together, because it is the last small thing he can still do for the boy...
And then the dog, its head laid in the son's lap, gazing up, refusing to look away. Rockwell knew exactly what that was for: "The father couldn't show how he felt about the boy's leaving," he said. "The dog did."
It has moved people for 70 years because every leaving is a beginning for one person and an ending for another. The child steps out into the world, as they should. And someone stays behind, watching them go, and loving them enough to let them go anyway...
