Off at 6am up Loch Ness tomorrow. . couldn't resist a little test of the water today

Heading to loch Ness to swim up its 23mile cool waters at 12degC with just trunks and hat. Thanks to Nancy Farmer for designing both the card and the hat which I will be wearing. I swim for Bristol Children's Hospital Emergency Dept justgiving.com/fundraising/a…

After a pleasant swim across the Bristol Channel in under 6hrs, time to get in a bit more freezer time before I swim 23 miles of icy loch Ness. All seems normal to me..#wolfinwater #frameofreference

Finally: cold freshwater training in loch lomond. In weather like this it feels relatively warm. Also nice not to get multiple jellyfish stings. Hoping loch ness weather equally as kind next month when I swim up it. grandappeal.org.uk/our-team/…

All done 5hrs 56mins. First 3hrs were bumpy but then it went pan flat as you can see. Perfect conditions. Thanks for the welcome reception

Great news.The pilot for my Bristol channel swim from Penarth to Clevedon has borrowed a boat for tomorrow. We start at 0640. Hope is a little bit bigger than this. #wolfinwater
