So much of the right these days just have a massive patriotism problem. This guy:
- is a tax exile (left long before this govt)
- hates his own country while complaining he doesn’t get big enough subsidies from it
- laments the hit to manufacturing driven by a Brexit he supported

Once the principle of legal certainty is sacrificed to naked partisan expedience, there is no stopping point.
Politics ceases to be a contest of persuasion under reasonable and predictable rules.
Instead it becomes a game of raw power where the winner simply changes the laws to destroy the loser’s capacity to compete.
Retroactively confiscating Reform's donations would be a step into a dark new paradigm for Britain.

They claimed it was only illegal migrants who they had a problem with.

They claimed it was only foreigners who didn't integrate that they had a problem with.
Posts like this from a failed Reform candidate show that, actually, it's schoolchildren who have earned a place at high achieving schools that they have a problem with, if they happen to have black or brown skin.
It doesn't matter to them if they came here legally, it doesn't matter to them if they have embraced life in this country, it doesn't matter if they were born here, to parents born here. They're not white so to warped individuals like Matthew, they're a problem.
They aren't, people like him, and those that enable them are.
