If you're a professional critic and you're not standing up for the occasional piece of trash I don't trust your takes on the prestige stuff tbh. Way too many sycophants in film discourse quite frankly

Ben Simmons took a shot at Daryl Morey:
"I think at that point, I'm one of those people, like I'mma show you, you don't want me here? Fuck it. I ain't coming in. And that's where it came from. So it was never like I never wanted to be in Philly. Somebody had come in, obviously was trying to get me out, whatever made promises to James (Harden)...but that's just the business. There's some good guys in there and some bad guys and some people you can't trust. There's some snakes. And I think he's one of them"

Amanda Seyfried says "I'm not f*cking apologizing" for calling Charlie Kirk "hateful" after his death.
"I mean, for f*ck's sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I'm free to have an opinion, of course. Thank God for Instagram. I was able to give some clarity, and it was about getting my voice back because I felt like it had been stolen and recontextualized—which is what people do, of course," Seyfried told Who What Wear.
Amid backlash in September for her Kirk comment, Seyfried explained: “I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable."

i really like that You Can See Everything is making ppl really think about what a documentary actually is. there is a reason Fred Wiseman preferred the term "reality fictions" for his own work!
