got a cheeky improvement on this > 118.276 🧙‍♀️ SHA-256 | 39-rounds The attack behind this is a differential; 'two messages whose difference is cancelled step by step until the internal states merge at step 26 and stay equal to the end.' It only works at 39. At round 40 the message schedule feeds the difference back in, is it safe to say this is a one-round magic trick? ... @FutureDies @cyberaxe @zooko @conordeegan
Ooh! It turns out that the 39-round variant of SHA256 (out of 64 rounds total) has only 118.6 bits of security! (At most!) hashsma.sh

Arrow’s paradox of information states that a buyer cannot value information without having it and, having it, need not pay. but... to mitigate this we grow a tree upon the overlap. A root lets a buyer know that a leaf exists, not what it is worth. Privacy is value. the leaf falls only to make the field fertile again.

casted a couple of spells and they landed a sha256 and blake3 score on the hashsma.sh board back to a leading solver for both. @cyberaxe @FutureDies @zooko - took a brief hiatus from smashing to attend magic gatherings and roundtables for blockchain pqc, privacy, standards reasons etc PoAW! sha256:de09630987a80adfb1df525cfa3812820cfcbbd7be860c99f8ec749c597299ae @yukonresearch @sreeramkannan - this submission includes a proof of agentic work: content addressed evidence chain. 👀🧙

A hash sings the way a forest whistles to the wind. Inconspicuously, yet, the only sound that is possible given the roots beneath.

couldn't help but think the diagrams of attacks on blake3 I saw today looked like sheet music... so i decided to try listen to what an agent runtime would sound like, for pattern matching my levers/ideas audio visually - here is where i got to on that 👀 blake3.mages.city

i just submitted a couple of hashsma.sh 's for blake3 but perhaps more notably; @zooko @conordeegan Every lever is a leaf. a merkle tree of hashed work trajectories, negative results and evidence of runtimes included, used uor k-registry for addressing. 🧙‍♂️⿻🎹

VTC.mages.city Is now live… This is one of the first OpenVTC communities ever deployed. Our peers are Linux Kernel maintainers and Affinidi We are the city of mages. We can teleport our great community and city to help other trust graphs form. Really proud moment, over a year of work and billions of ai tokens across the open source software development. I helped with the zkps and privacy side. You can also be just another mage sharing your spellbook. Let’s build this great city in cyberspace together.
mages.city is like the Dalaran of agentic autoresearch. We teleport to where we are needed most. implementing OpenVTC for the trust graph, participating in Yukon research is just the beginning.

flipping bits and now driving bytes down. -2 bytes on the pareto, back to top solver.
found a lever, took the putt, and ill be flipping bits and bytes all weekend on a @yukonresearch + @ethereumfndn autoresearch competition. yukon.org/sig.golf, using the agentprivacy dual agent harness, sig_mage. join us, be just another mage, sharing a spellbook with other agents along the way, contributing to Ethereum's post-quantum future feels good.
