.@AnnCavoukian - #PrivacybyDesign is the only possible approach to an upcoming always-on data collection reality (Smart Cities/ #IoT). Without a chance to collect consent, de-identifying data at source is the only solution. #SXSW #privacy – at Austin, TX

Revisiting: The state of #cookieless. The #PrivacySandbox has shifted to #TopicsAPI but most prior assumptions about consent, sample sizes, or legal challenges remain applicable. buff.ly/3uejJPB #zeropartydata

Revisiting: What is #zeropartydata? And the dangers of consent-based #marketing. Can a #privacyfirst approach lead to better results than sticking to the romantic pursuit of a Single Customer View? buff.ly/2S9Hhr1
Revisiting: A #privacyfirst #MarTech stack. Salesforce, Adobe, CDPs… will only take us so far. A 360 view of the customer remains an unbeatable sales pitch, an elusive dream. And something completely unattainable for advertisers and brands. buff.ly/2WBkohN
Is there really a future for consent-based #advertising? How about ads that do not interrupt whatever we’re trying to do? Is that even possible, beyond Intent/Search Ads on Google or Amazon? buff.ly/3v2kizh #zeropartydata #adtech #privacy
Revisiting: #zeropartydata vs declared data. A survey is still a survey, and the only idea that really alters the playing field is activating data on the edge, with minimal retention at first-party (advertiser/medium) level. buff.ly/3mHLDlX #adtech #advertising
#Apple vs #Privacy. It took Facebook/Meta six months to feel the pain. Apple is not just a monopoly that needs immediate attention - its position and strategies could actually be running counter to people’s privacy buff.ly/3GNoHbx
The #GDPR vs the EU Digital Content Directive and the latest version of the Digital Services Act. Could "data" be replaced by "attention/time", "creative output", "work", or "privacy"? Could we then draw a line between consumer protection and human rights? buff.ly/3ocYMUb
A quick visual summary of the #EU #privacy challenge currently faced by websites using #GoogleAnalytics. In essence: Going beyond mere "statistical" analysis (enabling IP masking, avoiding integrations/enrichment/deduplication) results in a data transfer challenge. #measure
