Free Palestine is antisemitic because to Israeli ears it calls for Palestinians to be alive which is against Israeli values and anything against Israeli values is antisemitic because yes
Is anyone else gonna keep telling this story?
When an 18-year-old Kieran Richardson travelled to Greece with Manchester United in October 2002, he was earning just £180 a week. But Sir Alex Ferguson was about to give him a birthday present worth more than he could ever have imagined…
Richardson was one of United's most promising youngsters, but despite being offered a professional contract, he had decided alongside his dad that he wasn't ready to sign it just yet.
He wanted to prove himself first.
“I don’t want to be a pro until I’m worthy of being a pro.”
On 23 October 2002, United travelled to Greece to face Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Richardson was named on the bench, hoping he might get a few minutes on the pitch.
United had raced into a 2-0 lead, but Olympiacos fought back to make it 2-2.
Then, in the 83rd minute, Paul Scholes scored to restore United's lead.
With just a few minutes remaining, Ferguson suddenly turned towards the youngster.
“Kieran, get on the pitch now.”
Richardson couldn't believe it.
He hadn't even warmed up, but Ferguson was already shouting at the referee to hurry up with the substitution.
“Ref, do the thing now, get him on.”
Richardson scrambled to get himself ready.
“I’m like, ‘s***, get on quick.’”
But as he ran past Ferguson towards the pitch, the United manager said something that caught him completely off guard.
“Happy birthday, son.”
Richardson replaced Juan Sebastián Verón, making his Manchester United debut as they held on for a 3-2 victory.
But there was a very good reason Ferguson had been so desperate to get him onto the pitch.
At the time, Manchester United's players received a £12,000 bonus for winning a Champions League match.
And by bringing Richardson on for those final few minutes, Ferguson had made sure the youngster qualified for it.
For an 18-year-old earning £180 a week, it was an absolutely mental amount of money.
“I was in the changing room after and thinking, ‘woah, there’s big dough coming in.’”
And when his next payslip arrived, he couldn't believe his eyes.
“I saw £12,000, Champions League bonus.”
“Bang, £12,000. Sick.”
Richardson had just earned the equivalent of more than a year's wages in a matter of minutes.
And like most 18-year-olds suddenly finding themselves with that kind of money, he knew exactly what he wanted to do with it.
“Get me down to the Trafford Centre and I’m buying some jeans and trainers.”
“It was such a nice touch, what a nice guy.”
People are actually criticising this. It’s about time it happened.
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
There’s been better players before and after him. Let him be someone else’s problem
You can tell JJ Gabriel comes from a genuinely greedy, out of touch family. First they throw a tantrum demanding immediate first team integration or he walks, then they get completely humbled by Barcelona and Real Madrid after getting turned away at the door, and now his father has the audacity to demand a 7 figure salary for a 16 year old. Absolute circus behavior from the entourage. Keep that entitlement far away from Carrington.

Why is Farage so quiet at the moment. Haven’t heard a peep from him for a couple of weeks. Is it Suella Braverman’s time to make a fool of Reform?
When paid promotion no longer works @FabrizioRomano
🚨🇦🇷 Emiliano Martínez would say yes to Chelsea move, open to join if #CFC decide to proceed with the deal.
Dibu would be open to joining Chelsea even without European football this season.
Up to Chelsea.
Have no idea why @EE use DPD for deliveries. Every single time there’s always an issue with drivers just not going to addresses taking a picture then walking away. Just the absolute worst

Bromley and Millwall legend Byron Webster has retired from football 🔚
The 39 year-old helped the Lions earn promotion to the Championship in 2017 and scored the winning penalty as the Ravens reached the football league for the first time ever ⬆️💥
First time I saw a comedian BOMB last night. Started off good, peaked after the first joke. Then @wyattfeegrado started making pedo jokes, then doubled down, then started on black womens hair. Drugs are strange substance
Very glad this isn’t a PPV. Imagine charging people for a sparring match. This shit is awful #FuryMakhmudov
I mean it’s just not. The moment he tries to liquidate he crashes the entire crypto economy making it almost worthless. Same goes for Elon musk and his stock portfolio. Also if the internet goes out so does your virtual portfolio.
Satoshi Nakamoto, the secret founder of Bitcoin, has a wallet with 1 million Bitcoin that has not been touched in 15 years. It's worth $70 billion today. It's the biggest untouched fortune of all time. That's insane.

8 lines every flag-shagging plastic “patriot” has in their playbook
1.“I want my country back” - From what? You voted for the party that ran it for 14 years.
2.“Our grandads didn’t fight for this” - Your grandads would be ashamed that you can’t find Normandy on a map. They fought with Poles, Sikhs, Gurkhas, and West Indians beside them. They’d have more in common with the immigrants you hate than plastic patriots sharing memes about them.
3.“This isn’t the Britain I grew up in” - Correct. It has lower crime, longer life expectancy, and better healthcare than the 1970s you’re romanticising. You just don’t remember the power cuts and three-day weeks.
4.“Britain is broken” - The most unpatriotic sentence in the English language, repeated daily by people say they love their country.
5. “We’re full” - The Netherlands has twice the population density and somehow manages. The UK is not full. It’s just had 14 years of no housebuilding and you need someone darker than you to blame for it.
6.“We look after our own first” - You vote for parties that cut disability benefits, froze nurses’ pay, gave tax breaks to the rich and closed Sure Start centres. You don’t look after anyone.
7.“Stop the boats” - The Tories spent £700 million on Rwanda to deport four people. Zero boats were stopped. You cheered anyway.
8.“Starmer is a traitor” - The man prosecuted terrorists, paedophile rings, and war criminals as DPP. You import American culture war propaganda from people who openly despise our allies, trash your own country 24/7, and follow convicted fraudsters who lied about where they were born. The only ones treacherously trashing Britain’s reputation daily are you.
