Today, I’m going #AllHandsIn with @svinsociety @MThrombectomy to support & raise awareness for stroke survivors on #WTD25 World Stroke Thrombectomy Day. This simple task—eating noodles with chopsticks using my non-dominant hand—was awkward, frustrating, and humbling. But for millions of stroke survivors, this isn’t just a challenge—it’s daily life. I’m doing this to understand just a fraction of their struggle—and to stand in solidarity with them. Now it’s your turn. Together, let’s get #AllHandsIn on World Stroke Thrombectomy Day to raise awareness for stroke—and the life-saving power of thrombectomy. – at New York, USA

this meta-analysis conclusion is appropriately strongly worded: "LAAC is best positioned to reduce nonprocedural bleeding in anticoagulation-eligible patients at standard-to-moderate bleeding risk, rather than as a stroke-equivalent substitute for oral anticoagulation."

This was a great collaboration between a number of folks across @UofUNeurosurg @UofUNeurology and @UofUCV. Important findings that must be considered in the context of patients with #hemorrhagic pathology and those that are on #DAPT. @cvsection – at Canyon Rim, UT
Excited to share our new publication in Stroke: an updated meta-analysis of LAAC vs. OAC in atrial fibrillation. While ischemic stroke was more frequent with LAAC, nonprocedural bleeding was lower. Grateful to my mentors, and co-authors! 📄 lnkd.in/gNWuV4Vb #Stroke

NNT for MT is 2.6, making it one of the most effective tx we have. However, in our recent MT-GLASS study in @StrokeAHA_ASA, the median country was only providing MT to < 3% that needed it, emphasizing the gap bw the proven efficacy of MT and its real world global accessibility.

Excited to share our new study comparing antithrombotic strategies after carotid artery stenting. DOAC + SAPT may have similar outcomes to DOAC + DAPT. Prospective studies are needed. Grateful to my mentors & colleagues! 🧠 ovid.com/jnls/neurosurgery/a… @CNS_Update @CNSResidents

How much and what kind of physical therapy should patients receive after stroke? Our Phase II trial was just published! 🏥 🧠 ovid.com/jnls/jacpt/fulltext… Early inpatient physical therapy after acute stroke was associated with meaningful functional improvement. The combination of frequent therapy and error-augmentation produced the greatest gains and superior postural control at discharge #Neurology #Stroke #PhysicalTherapy #Rehabilitation
