That moment when the biggest decisions were a Fruitopia vs Oasis glass bottle, Sugar vs Bliss and it was eternal summer in the Queen’s Nose: perfection. I carry it around in my inaccessible and improbably small mental rucksack.

if my child gets out of bed one. more. time. I’m gonna kiss his forehead and tuck him into his little pillow fort birds nest we made and sing the goodnight song and be patient and kind because he’s not even been around the sun five whole times yet and surely this is the greatest privilege of my insignificant life to hold his hand on the way back to bed
This is all ages. Just watched a mum ruin the vibes of the game that kids were happily playing in a park. Group of kids aged 5-8 playing happily, then in she barrels to be fun mum directing the play and becoming centre of attention. Give it a rest and let them play
I’m kinda struggling with baby play groups right now. Mostly because, at the 3 I’ve regularly been to, the babies don’t actually get to interact much because one (or both) parents are there maintaining a tight micromanagement orbit.
We’re talking 8-15 month olds.
Here play with this, no don’t play with that, no don’t put that (safe) toy in your mouth, what’s this its a ball wow don’t you want to play with the ball, no we don’t grab, no we share, be gentle, be gentle, be gentle, no don’t climb on that pillow, no don’t go over there play right here, don’t you want to play with this doll, what’s this toy over here, etc etc etc. Constant movement, constant hustle, constant distraction. The kid picks something up and they immediately jump in to say something about it, take it out of the kids hand to show them “how to play with it.” The kid wanders 5 ft away and it’s like all hands on deck he’s on the move catch him quick.
They bring their own light up or noisy toys or, on a couple of occasions, a screen playing a show in the background (????)
My baby is trying to go play with the other baby and literally cannot get through the parents orbiting around the kid.
Just. Let. Them. Play.
The payoff in the last episode of Better Call Saul is beautiful in its clarity and also its patience. They WOULD have been arrested if they hadn’t blundered across the one person blundering efficiently in their specific direction. It lampshades, it reflects, it takes ownership.

If someone wants sex, or a baby and your answer is they have a human right to that as long as a woman somewhere agrees to be paid, how do you envision female liberation?
The purpose of patriarchy is to control sex and reproduction, if you reinforce the idea everyone has the

Troons can't even define what a woman is without using the word woman. you can't give a definiton of a word and use the definition in it.

My last conversation with Tim Curry was about life and love and laughter. The grim physical state he found himself in has now ended, a blessing. Our blessing was that we had Tim Curry in our lives. RIP, my friend.

No uterus, no ovaries, no cycle, no period, no PMS. It’s not even PMS-like. That’s like saying I have tumor-like symptoms because I have a headache. It’s disingenuous and misleading. Your “symptoms” are not symptoms, they’re side effects. You have too much estrogen in your system because you’re on medication that puts too much estrogen in your system.

This is NOT a political issue & shouldn't be made into one. It's physics & human anatomy. Sophie Cunningham is correct.
A thread/example 🧵:
The fastest woman in history is Florence Griffith-Joyner, fabulously known as Flo-Jo 🏃🏾♀️ 💅
Her world record in the 100 meter dash is an astonishing 10.49 seconds. This record has stood completely untouched for decades & still stands today 🥇
When compared to professional men, Flo-Jo's all-time historic speed is heavily outmatched by the biological & physiological realities of male sprinting mechanics.
At the professional Men's Level, Flo Jo would be UNRANKED. According to World Athletics data, over 1,900 men have run faster than Flo-Jo’s 10.49 second women's world record. Her time would fail to qualify for any standard professional or NCAA men’s track meet.
Her 10.49-second mark aligns perfectly with the elite U.S. high school boys' level.
76 high school boys ran faster than Flo-Jo's record in 2019 alone.
It's nowhere near fair to amazing women athletes that work hard their whole lives to compete against biological men.
