genuinely hate how in every area of life, Americans have to stand guard to protect themselves from being scammed because our institutions are rotten. buying a car, going to the dentist, even the most mundane activities could wreak financial havoc if you’re not on high alert
went to the dentist in the spring, guy tells me i have 8 cavities and it's going to be $2k out of pocket to get em fixed. i got two of them filled. went to a new dentist yesterday, guy says I have 0 cavities and that he's not trying to do more work than i need. cool profession

cost of living is abysmal. you’ll never buy a home, pay off your student loans or retire at a reasonable age. you need to work gig economy jobs for disposable income and your premiums are going up for the insurance tied to the job you hate. meanwhile politicians tell you, we can’t pay for healthcare or schools but we just signed off on another $2.8 bn to israel. we’re also lighting all our assets on fire in the strait of hormuz for this foreign countries belligerent project. then beltway bandits ask why americans are turning towards socialism and antizionism.

Thank god we have spent 38 billion on losing a war to Iran for israel. We could’ve built some infrastructure or a bigger federal jobs program but instead we blew up a girls school and destroyed the world economy. Awesome.

Until leaders like AOC and Mamdani can make an enemy of Jeffries and every one like him, I fear whatever "movement" they represent will amount to little more that a fart.
AOC on her support of Hakeem Jeffries after taking secret meetings with Jared Kushner:

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days.
