Hi #PressEdConf22! I'm a Sr. Instructional Tech on the Standards & Practices team @wgu. We are using #WordPress as a “Guidance” home for #LearningDesign standards that govern our work- serving as support for staff and contract designers. I've been working in WP for 10 yrs. (1/15)

12/12 My takeaway would be that making a subject colourful doesn’t mean dumbing down, it’s possible to have content that is engaging even in a very text-based subject such as law, and using WordPress is a great way to do it! Thanks for reading. Any questions? #PressEdConf22

11/12 I’d like to keep the site free - currently users can donate but I’m going to add a shop using a Print-on-Demand integration tool - another advantage to a website - selling things like mugs with my drawings on. I’m also going to offer revision flashcards #PressEdConf22

1/12 Hi, I’m Hannah & during lockdown I created a website that marries law with art…well, if potato people are art? It’s designed for law students and uses illustrations (with detailed text) to bring law to life and help them understand and memorise case law #PressEdConf22

It's seeing things like this which support discovery types of learning that highlight the limitations of a VLE and what WordPress has to offer us in educational setting #PressEdConf22
10) Got an example. Well, yes, yes, I do. dryutility.info/category/bev… Is one example of a WordPress site telling stories, which we then built some digital humanities tools in. Click on explore to see all the text analysis you could wish for #PressEdConf22

1/15 Hey folks. I'm Tom. I have been messing w WordPress in education since ~2005. As a history major who accidentally learned to code, I will do my best to to talk through a few examples of how you might use the WordPress API followed by how to do it. #PressEdConf22

1. Hello! I am Tineke, and I teach East Asian history @berghistory. I want to share how I inadvertently escaped the #LMS, and how #Wordpress helped me do that. The only reason to stay was the gradebook, where student grades were safe. #PressEdConf22

6/15 We wanted to build on our existing resources and develop a course that provides staff with a realistic opportunity to participate in a VLE as students. #pressEdConf22

2/15 The Scenario: 2020. A new way of teaching (blended); a new look VLE (BB Ultra); a new way of working (from home). Blend Your Module, introduced Active Blended Learning to staff, on an existing WP based Learning Community. 2021, we then added Enhance your Module, on BB Ultra
