Once the old channel don chop enough losses, the next thing na divine rebranding. New Telegram channel, fresh VIP group, new prediction history… as if the old records don enter the Red Sea! 😂
My question be this: na God change their names, or na their losing records force them to change identity?👀🤣
Before you follow any punter, check their track record. No let new name and fresh channel make you forget old history.
Because for this betting industry, some people no need new revelation… na accountability dem need!😂💔
Punters, make una no vex o. Na cruise, but the shoe fit somebody! 👀🔥

Nigeria Macroeconomic Policies, Their Implications On The Lives Of Ordinary Folks..
Imonokha Enakhena Jr (1)
Nigeria’s recent macroeconomic reforms—primarily the floating of the Naira and the removal of the PMS (petrol) subsidy—have fundamentally reshaped the nation’s economic landscape. While these structural adjustments were designed to stabilize public finances, reduce fiscal deficits, and attract long-term foreign investment, their immediate shockwaves have hit ordinary citizens and local businesses hard.
1. Purchasing Power of Ordinary Folks
The immediate outcome of currency devaluation and subsidy removal was a severe purchasing power crisis.
Real Wage Erosion: Even as headline inflation has shown signs of moderating (easing toward 15-16% after peaking sharply above 30%), the cumulative price surge over recent years means real wages remain severely depressed.
Essential Goods Squeeze: The cost of basic staples, transport, and cooking gas consumed a disproportionate share of household income, forcing the average Nigerian to cut back on discretionary spending, healthcare, and education.
2. Inflation & Poverty Rates
Structural Inflation Drivers: Monetary tightening by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) helped curb runaway inflation, but structural bottlenecks—high transport logistics costs, insecurity in agricultural belts, and imported input costs—have kept the cost of living elevated.
Poverty Dynamics: High food inflation pushed millions of low-income earners below the poverty line. The lag between macroeconomic stabilization and microeconomic relief means that while indicators on paper improve, poverty rates remain high.
3. Flight of Manufacturing Industries
The combination of rapid currency depreciation, acute foreign exchange (FX) illiquidity, and skyrocketing energy costs led to a wave of multinational exits (e.g., GSK, Procter & Gamble, Sanofi) and local factory shutdowns.
FX Exposure: Companies heavily reliant on imported raw materials or parent-company loans in hard currency suffered massive FX losses.
Declining Local Demand: Weak domestic consumer spending made it impossible for many high-overhead manufacturers to remain profitable.
4. Impact on MSMEs & the Production Sector
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)—which make up over 80% of employment—bear the brunt of structural shifts:
Cost of Doing Business: Unstable electricity forces reliance on expensive diesel/petrol generators, drastically raising production overheads.
Supply Chain Disruptions: Small manufacturers face double-digit surges in raw material and distribution costs, compressing profit margins and leading to staff layoffs.
5. Double-Digit Interest Rates & Credit Squeeze
To fight inflation and stabilize the Naira, the CBN pushed the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) into high double digits (hovering around 27%).
Commercial Lending Rates: Banks charge commercial interest rates upwards of 30%–35% for private borrowers.
Crowding Out: High yields on government fixed-income instruments (Treasury Bills and FGN Bonds) incentivize banks to lend to the federal government rather than the real private sector.
Credit Paralysis: For MSMEs, borrowing at >30% interest rates for long-term production is economically unviable, choking off business expansion and capital investment.
6. The Informal Sector
Making up roughly 60%–70% of the economy, the informal sector functions as a survival shock absorber:
Digital & Fuel Shocks: Informal traders, artisans, ride-hailing drivers, and street vendors rely directly on daily cash flow and fuel. Transport fare hikes immediately reduce their profit margins.
Resilience & Vulnuerability: While the informal sector is agile in adjusting daily prices, its lack of access to formal credit or safety nets leaves workers vulnerable to falling deeper into poverty during economic contractions.
