One need only go to project Gutenberg , or their own library, and take a look at books on grammar, mathematics, and physics , textbooks. It is amazing. These books from maybe pre WW2 era and before. The 19th century through the first half of the 20th century.

I learnt calculus as a 15 year old. Suire it was an education system that, literally, eliminated 98% of the students and confinced them to vocations and trades but that was the deal.
