The controversial portion of the Ujjain's Shahi Masjid falls directly within the road-widening project for the Simhasth Kumbh 2028. Despite immense pressure from public mobilization, online campaigns, and international media coverage, including objections by Al Jazeera, the MP govt stood firm, fought resolutely in the High Court, and made its position clear. The administration explicitly warned that with RPF personnel and bulldozers on standby, failing to voluntarily remove the controversial section could put the entire structure at risk. This was far from bigotry or state-sponsored persecution as claimed by the protestors and their online support. Multiple temples along the stretch were relocated without any outcry, and the CM even allowed the demolition of his own ancestral home to clear the way. Well done Mohan Yadav, credit where due.
